Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Dmitrii MarinkevichManosque, France268 contributionsBeautiful beautiful view. The building looks great. The way up is also amazing. 100% must see attraction if you are in this regionWritten 4 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert JPortsmouth, UK244 contributionsOwn car park and a good 10 minute walk to the chapel past a large shop and toilet facility. Peaceful chapel with limited opening hours outside the Monks use.
Lovely stroll to the left of the chapel about 400m where there is a Cross with amazing views over the valley below.Written 30 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The granite boulders are magnificent and in June the terrain is covered with fragrant wild thyme and dotted with glorious tiny pink native orchids. This is the stony arid Provence that is familiar from films such as Jean De Florette. A beautiful view too. - Theo VAmsterdam, The Netherlands1,557 contributionsWe bought tickets to workshop about the flowers in Haute Provence (herbs) as well as making parfume. When we bought them we forgot to ask in which language the workshops would be. However, I did aologize at the start and later on for my bad French since we dont know that language (literally, though in my bad French). When we found out, we went back. The workshop would be in French. SAo we asked our money back explaining that we wouldnot be able to follow what was being said. Bluntly it was refused, saying that I spook really good French the other day. Confronted with that I actually twice apologized for my bad French, it ewas just refuked. Thanks to the great TouristOffice of Forcalquier (great team) we were able to get 70 euro's back from the 120 we payed. We were baffled. I am sure that what was happening here is that the man counted on the fact that we dont want to spoil our holliday with a fight. And, indeed, you get bad energy of that. However, it is stealing nevertheless. So, be warned: if you dont speak French, don't go.Written 14 August 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Adrian HLa Tour-de-Peilz, Switzerland35 contributionsIt was a nice boutique, the selection of produce it very extensive. The biscuits are of course tasty. However, the staff could be more welcoming.Written 29 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ann MGlasgow, UK105 contributionsWe joined our friends on the French speaking tour of Forcalquier this morning but as soon as our guide, Dominic, realised we only spoke English, he accommodated us at every availability. We were happy just to tag along and explore this beautiful town but came away with as much knowledge as out French speaking friends. Thank you so much to Dominic for his patience & his ability to share his knowledge so fluently and with such passion and interest.Written 2 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Valerie SBarcelona, Spain8 contributionsMy husband, daughter of 7 and I went for a ride with the horses this afternoon. We are beginners but Jules took good care of us and the horses were very calm and friendly. We all enjoyed the walk very much. The surroundings are beautiful, it was so relaxing. Highly recommend it!Written 9 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mal HForcalquier, France263 contributionsDomaine des Sources is a combined 9 hole par 3 chip and put course with adjacent hotel and pool located about 8km east of Forcalquier towards La Brillanne in Alps Haute de Provence. Set in a delightful valley, the resort is very new and also includes a pro shop, onsite professional for coaching and a driving range.
The holes vary in length from 50m to 90m and provide a good challenge for learner golfers or more regular golfers in the area wanting somewhere for a pleasant hit.
The course is undulating with a mixture of elevated tees, bunkers and water hazards. Fees are modest and essentially allow play for the whole day.
There is also a restaurant where you can have a meal or drink adjacent to the course.
Staff were helpful and courteous and we very much enjoyed our 9 hole round and lunch and would strongly recommend.Written 2 September 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
