We were shown around the vineyard by Allen who was very keen to tell us all about the journey and how they have become successful today. It was really interesting to hear all about their grapes and how they produce their wine. We learned some valid tips (just having a few grape vines in our garden which will be really useful for the coming years (!!) One thing I would mention is only for people with possible mobility issues, the vines are on quite a steep hill which is uneven, so be aware of this to check you will be able to manage this before booking. We enjoyed the tour and the tasting afterward. The wine wasn't my cup of tea (but that is no reflection on them, just my tastebuds). However, we had a tour booked for 2 pm, and on our arrival noted we could sit and have a glass of wine and they did cheeseboards. Unfortunately, this closed at 2.15 pm so we couldn't sit and have a glass of wine after we had finished had we wanted to. What we think could be really beneficial, would be to offer the option to purchase a cheeseboard to have during your tasting session because we think this could have dramatically influenced our taste and of course ultimately could have meant we had bought some wine upon departure. Unfortunately, this wasn't to be. Otherwise, no complaints, it was a good afternoon and we are now going to visit some other vineyards to further enjoy the wine-tasting experience.

Walked from car park behind the area where the building work is carrying on, up the path on the right hand side of the works, so you have the river on your right and the marsh on your left, super views of the lesser yellowlegs and green shank about 50m beyond the works and oblivious to the noise, viewing platforms and screens on both sides of path with great birding potential when the whole area becomes fully tidal.
    Will revisit

Very arty and food very good. Recommend coffee is an experience on it’s own. Relaxing and modern building.

This charming museum, set in an attractive, thatched Regency house, is well worth a visit not only for its insight into local history but also for its temporary exhibitions. The Fairlynch Museum is staffed by volunteers who could not be more helpful and informative and engaging in conversation with them adds to the pleasure of any visit.

In addition to the exhibition rooms, the Museum has a small gift shop with a wide range of products on sale to include an interesting selection of topical second hand books.

The path climbs up out of town to finish high up at the Beacon.
Great views up on top and a good pub (The Feathers) to rest up in once back down.

Played this course for the 1st time at the weekend. Having played golf all over the UK, this has to come close, if not top of the list for me. Its a stunning layout, the views are spectacular, and the course condition was nothing short of superb considering how much rain fall we have had over the last 2 to 3 weeks. There was a very warm welcome from the Pro shop, and the bar staff were friendly, good cheeky banter and great fun, and really looked after us, even though the place was very busy for a Sunday afternoon. I cant thank every one enough for looking after us. Thanks Guys Brilliant work all round.

Very interesting geology/history. Didn't know about the fossilised roots in the rock until I visited here and walked past. This is part of the jurassic coastline.
