Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- summithausSteamboat Springs, CO22 contributionsSuper fun experience! We wanted to relax with lounge chairs and an umbrella, to our surprise there was more! It is a dog friendly area where owners can also rent a bed for their dog, water bowl included! We loved the extra entertainment and variety of pooches! You are right on the lake so easy access for a swim. Restaurants, toilets, and market close by! We had a lovely time and quite relaxing with the August heat.Written 17 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brun066Florence, Italy13,725 contributionsFor Italian citizens, until a few years ago, Peschiera was above all a reminder of the role it had played in the Italian Wars of Independence (1848; 1859; 1866). At that time, in fact, Peschiera, together with the very well-known cities of Verona and Mantua, and the much less known city of Legnago, constituted one of the vertices of the so-called “quadrilateral”. That is, a quadrilateral of fortifications built by impressive works over decades by the governor Field Marshal Radetzky, to block any invasions of the Lombard-Venetian Kingdom, assigned to the Austrian Empire from the Congress of Vienna onwards (1815).
In reality, in the case of Peschiera and Legnago, Radetzky limited himself to strengthening the fortifications created by the Republic of Venice in the 16th and 17th centuries.
But while the fortifications of Legnago have been almost completely destroyed since the 1880s, those of Peschiera have been well preserved (except for a section corresponding more or less to the current ferry port). So in 2017 they showed the requirements to become part of a new group: that of the UNESCO World Heritage of Venetian fortifications in the early modern age, both inland and on sea.
The six fortifications identified as well preserved are on an international scale: Bergamo, Peschiera, Palmanova (Italy), Zadar, Sibenik (Croatia), Kotor (Montenegro).
This recognition has brought attention to the value of the fortifications of Peschiera, and therefore - as almost always happens with UNESCO brands - has greatly increased the collective appreciation of the entire town.
The process was also facilitated by the liberation of the wall complex from residual former functions; for example that of the military prison (closed in 2001). And the complex is now accessible in all its exteriors and in some interiors.
We found the audio guide provided free of charge (but against a deposit) by the local Tourist Office to be particularly effective in illustrating the attraction. This audio guide (accompanied by a paper map) allows you to gain in-depth knowledge, guiding you on your journey through the different parts of the fortified city.
The audio guide also provides information on the sights that can be observed via a boat tour. But this tour must be paid for separately, starting from the "Canale di Mezzo" of the town.Written 14 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. In 1510 a first small church was created on the site of the discovery , then during many years and many miracles the church was enlarged.
In 1518 was built a friars convent beside the church who it’s still active.
Facade with frescoed portico , above the portico a beautiful rose window completed a very simple facade .
Inside with one nave and five chapels for each side, the twos beside the central altar are bigger and protected by beautiful wrought iron gate, the one on the right contain the small statue of Madonna of ash tree with beautiful frescoe by Domenico Morone done on 16th century .
Of the same period are the beautiful paintings done by Paolo Farinati and are in the three chapels on the left side, the fourth chapel on the left is decorated by a beautiful painting of Zeno da Verona depicting Saints Peter and John dated 1541.
Unusual the central altar with beautiful pipe organ .
From a door next to the Madonna’s chapel is possible to enter in the first cloister with frescoes dated 1653 by Pietro Muttoni , the second cloister is also frescoed and all over the walls you can see mani ex voto and pictures of miraculous people .Written 29 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The trees have twinkle lights at night, there’s piped in music, and it’s a great spot for un cafe or aperitivo on the river.Written 19 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JJBlondieDenver, CO2,191 contributionsThe best part is this is free to see. The water and moat around Peschieria and the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We took a moat tour for 10 euros. Totally worth it. It’s nice being surrounded by water.Written 18 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SissiGateshead, UK225 contributionsWent here to get a map and handy information. Staff were really nice and spoke several languages. Bus tickets are cheaper to buy here than on the bus. Only thing is that we got old bus timetables with summer hours. Also didn't mention how delayed busses are regularly. Info point is very central. Worth a visit.Written 22 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Brun066Florence, Italy13,725 contributionsWe too, like many others, discovered this museum almost by chance.
You can see clearly from the limited opening hours and the summary museography that it's the result mainly of voluntary work, with little support from donors or the public administration.
It differs from the many (too many) small ethnographic museums, in that it's dedicated to lake activities (sailing, fishing) and not to the agricultural ones; certainly a less usual category.
The documentary material is very rich, and the museum's ability to evoke the past is remarkable.
It would deserve – I repeat – an improvement from the point of view of the museographic layout.

A quick walk about the grounds provided an impressive look at the amazing operation at this winery. A large production house that is awash in technology and history - absolutely immaculate conditions. (The cellar masters should be so proud!) We were thrilled to have Antonio as our guide - he was very informative and sociable. We loved our time with him. We had a four wine tasting which could not have been more enjoyable. Found the Amarone I had been looking for all trip!!! Loved the single varietal Corvina - what a treat, sparkling Lugana, etc. Thank you Antonio for a wonderful stop!!!Written 12 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
