Had the most wonderful time at Moraitis winery, Thanos was our guide and was so knowledgeable, answered every single question we had. The wine and cheese pairing was the cherry on top - the wines were absolutely delicious and perfectly paired with each cheese. A must stop when visiting Paros!!

Pretty town with charming streets to explore, interesting local shops, and some good cafes. Well worth a visit. Streets get crowded during high season so visit early in the day so you can take photos!

Nice sandy beach with cedars for shade. Stayed near the south end and had plenty of shade from the afternoon sun under the cedars. The sand is a golden brown and moderate to coarse texture. The water was very calm and shallow with a sandy bottom. It slopes off gradually and is shoulder depth about 20 meters from shore. Perfect for a swim. There was a light breeze. The south end of the beach was nearly 100% nudist. Many couples, gay and straight, with about as many singles. All ages were there. Didn’t see any children. The beach was moderately full but not overcrowded. No textiles were spotted anywhere near the south end. There may have been some further north but we didn’t go that far.

For access to the south (nudist) end of the beach, park at 37.1328880, 25.2700390. (Ignore directions from google maps). The road is narrow with rock walls on both sides. Park as close to the north wall as possible. Fold in your mirrors. Walk directly west along the narrow road with rock walls on each side until you get close to the shore. Then the path heads north. Follow the well worn path past the church then along the shoreline until you get beyond the rock outcrops. That’s where the sandy beach begins. From the parking area to the beach should take no more than 5 minutes walking. While sandals could be worn, I suggest close toed shoes for the hike.

This was our first nude beach experience and it was perfect. Nude beach or not, this beach is a must see.

We drove over to Paros Park one evening in hopes of watching the movie under the stars. We were bummed to find out there was going to be no movie that day. They canceled the movie because there was going to be a Jazz Concert at the amphitheater, so we stayed for that instead! It was a great show under the stars!

At the entrance to the old fishing port in Naoussa, you can see the remains of an ancient stone fortress which was built in the early 14th century to protect against pirates.
There’s not a lot left but you can walk out to it, along the sea wall. It’s not without risk as the sea wall is fairly narrow and waves can unexpectedly drench you.
Although everyone else made it safely across, I was unlucky and was soaked by a sudden large wave. Being halfway along, I didn’t have any option but to keep my footing steady and cop it. However I spent an unpleasant couple of hours afterwards, schlepping around in wet clothes and had to sit and wring my socks out.
Was it worth it? Not really. Once out there, an arched door leads into the centre of the tower. It’s kind of fun to look out through the other arches and imagine the days when people stood in the same spot, scanning the horizon for pirate ships. However there’s not much of the fortress left. Most of the walls are below sea level now and you can see pretty much all there is to see without needing to venture out there.
The port area as a whole is very picturesque and in addition to the fortress, there are colourful fishing boats, taverns and bars and the blue domed St Nicholas church.

This is a very nice and quiet shallow Sandy Beach. I feel that it is very underrated and a close walk from the town of Naoussa.

Purchased sculpture by artist Panagiotidis Aggelos. The whole transaction was extremely smooth.
Adeline the art gallery manager gave me the information for the wire transfer, which was done on my return home. The item arrived less than two weeks lateras by DHL, well packed and in perfect condition

This museum shows the Russian occupation of Paros and this part of the Aegean, in maps, in the 1700's. This history isn't even taught in Greek schools apparently. The guide inside was very good at explaining everything. It is free to go in and nice and cool.

Awesome Micro-Brewery. I was greeted by a friendly staff and received a great tour of the brewery. Would definitely recommend stopping by here during your trip to Paros. They also just added a lovely brand-new bar top to try the different beers!

The blue-domed Agios Ioannis Detis (Saint John) monastery is located on the rocky coastline of Paros Park.
The whole area is very beautiful and was established as a protected environmental and cultural area in 2009.
Most people head here to go to the popular Monastiri Beach. However if you are spending a day here, the 17th century monastery is an interesting diversion.
It is a short climb up the headland to the monastery from the beach and although it wasn’t open when we visited it was still worth the walk because of the beautiful view back down over Naoussa Bay.
The monastery is perched right on the edge of the rocky cliff and the white walls are built into the bare rocks.
One interesting feature is a large, circular stone mosaic out the front. Made out of white, black and various shades of brown pebbles, the mosaic is simple but charmingly naive. The white sheep in the centre caught my eye, mainly because of his two beady black pebble eyes. Carrying a cross on his back, he represents Jesus, the Lamb of God.
GETTING HERE: A small taxi-boat departs regularly from Naoussa to Monastiri Beach (€10 return). Entry to the park is free.

Tourkou Ammos is a nice long stretch of sandy beach, located within the rugged landscape of Paros Park. The whole area is just stunning and visiting Paros Park was one of the highlights during our time on Paros.
The beach is accessible by foot only via the coastline walking trail #3.
It’s a 20 minute walk from the very popular Monastiri Beach, but not many people venture here.
Instead, most people swarm to Monastiri which has a beach club, umbrellas and sun-beds. Tourkou Ammos has none of these. There are no facilities, toilets or change-rooms. Anything you want, you’ll have to bring with you.
There is also no shade so hats, sunscreen and water are a must.
The water here was calm, shallow and still and unbelievably clear. With no waves, we could simply float, star-like, on our backs for ages. It was so relaxing and peaceful.
Entry to the park is is free.
GETTING HERE: To get here, we caught the small boat from Naoussa to Monastiri Beach (€10 return). From the pier, head away from Monastiri and follow the coastline trail. There are several trails but to get to Tourkou Ammos, you’re looking for Trail #3. It is marked by a yellow ‘3’ inside a blue painted circle.
NOTE: You can continue the walk beyond the beach around Cape Turkos to the remains of an 18th century Russian Naval Base. Unfortunately we didn’t get that far because we spent too long on the beach and had to run back to catch our return boat.

The monastery of St John’s of Deti is one of the interesting things to see if you are visiting the beautiful nature reserve of Paros Park
What you see here is a typical white walled church with a bright blue dome. It is much like the churches that you see all over Greece but it perched on the top of the headland and has a wonderful view down over Naoussa Bay and Monastiri Beach.
It is easily accessible via a short, uphill path at one end of Monastiri Becah.
When we were there it was completely closed, with little sign that it had been open recently. Nevertheless, it was worth it for the view.
GETTING HERE: Small taxi-boats leave 6 times a day from Naoussa to Monastiri Beach (€10 return). When we were there in June, they started at 10:30am and left every hour after that. Entry to the park is free.
