Exceptionally rich in its historic and cultural value, Ostuni offers outstanding galleries and dining experience. A must and well worth a detour.

Amazing place to see and Pietro was so kind. Loved learning about the olive oil and of course purchasing some to take home.

The cathedral damaged by the earthquake in 1456, Rebuilt between 1469-1495 in a Gothic style. The facade dominates the huge rose window from the 15th century. Interesting interior with interesting ceiling. Fortunately there are displays in English for the basic info and description. Open from 9:30m, free entrance, donation welcome.

Parking the furthest away possible it is only ~200 metres past the bar and toilets to the beach. The walk from the car to the bar flat (small gravel stones). From the bar to the beach is a wooden walkway which is approx 30 metres and in good condition. It does have a small peak to go over the sand dunes. There are 2 steps at the end to get onto the beach itself. The beach has a very very gentle slop down to the sea and the sea is shallow for quite a way out.

Parking on a Saturday in early July was €5 (or €3 just down the road). Umbrella was €4.50 and sun beds £6.50. They also offer a sun chair and directors chair for around €5. Beach was busy but not crowded, with a nice chilled atmosphere. Pay for sunbeds etc at the bar and the staff will take them down to the beach for you and set them up. Staff are helpful and friendly. Some speak some English and others not (not that they should have to) but all seemed to be happy to communicate with those who don’t speak Italian to a particularly good standard.

Bar is good - food choices are panini (choose your own fillings/toppings) and salad (choose your own fillings). Panini are around €5 and salads are €4-€6. Panini tasted fresh! They also have fruit salads, crisps and plenty of different drinks (coffees, soft drinks, beer/wine & a few cocktails). Also plenty of ice creams. Alternatively bring your own food and eat on the beach or in the shaded picnic area.

Plenty of clean showers and a little wooden playground for kids. 1 single toilet for men and 1 for women which are accessed via key at the bar - if you don’t speak enough Italian just keep an eye on where others are getting the key! The benefit of the key means these are probably the cleanest toilets I’ve come across in Italy in my lifetime.

No rubbish around. Clearly marked and not overflowing bins. Showers and toilets very clean. Overall really impressed by the ease of access for those who need to consider it and for anyone that appreciates well kept surroundings.

This is a great location for a coffee break and people watching. Shops line the square and it serves as the center of the town.

Nice beach, it was easy to find and it has free parking. There was no one there when we first arrived. The sun was out and the water was wonderful

Great area to select a cove by the sea. Views over the sea, towers. Some areas have facilities if you want. But the main attraction is that you can have a nice quiet time by the sea away from the crowds and enjoy nature.

This church has amazing roofs, typical of the region. The entrance dominates the biggest place of the city.

Beautiful beach near Ostuni. The beach is actually stunning and immerse in maquis shrubland. You can both rent sunbeds and parasol or decide to bring your own (i.e no fee for laying on the beach is required). I recommend this place if you are traveling near Ostuni.

We found our perfect beach here and came back again and again. The sea was calm and clear and we were protected from the wind. It was protected enough for tiny tots to enjoy the water and the grown ups could swim far out easily. I read a previous review that said it was dirty. I found quite the opposite although cigarette butts are a problem everywhere. All the people I saw were respectful and put their rubbish in the bins. Our last day was a Saturday and the beach had been cleaned early in the morning. We were there in early September so I guess we missed the crowds.

Worth a visit. Impressively tall and imposing in the lovely main square filled with history. From the base, there's a lovely view of the cathedral at the tip of this hill town.

We visited out of season at Easter which meant we had the place to ourselves which is pretty rare these days for such a fantastic place with sand dunes and endless white beach

Facing the Duomo, this passage (replacing a wood bridge that had to be replaced) is a marvel of well proportioned Italian architecture and decorational art. Makes you think you are in Venice (The Bridge of Sighs)

Very exclusive city. Its name is Ostuni the white city, and it is really white. Ancient and very particular. In the centre you can go to one of the bars or restaurants. You can visit museums and churches. In the shops, you can ( must) buy the typical very Good food and wines. Maxbugatti.

A vibrant market selling all the seasonal fruit and vegetables from the surrounding area. Very cheap and fun to explore. There is also a huge clothes section with new and second hand clothes. Everything from belts and underwear to shoes and coats and everything in between
