Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This tour is fantastic and our guide, Clive, did an excellent job. He was so patient and knowledgable. I loved this tour and am so happy we booked it! Thank you, Cheeky Kea and Clive, for giving us memories that will last a lifetime!

Great day tour from Christchurch. The scenery was lovely (we were very fortunate that we had great weather on the day too). Our driver/tour guide was punctual, nice, and very informative. It is a long day though but there were plenty of snacks on the journey and sufficient restroom stops on the way. I'd definitely recommend this tour for people who aren't familiar with the area and not wanting to drive (there is no cell service at the Tasman Glacier area).

Trip was fabulous! View with blue sky and a full mount Cook. Took many pictures. Nice that it was in a small group. Good driver and a great day.

I had a wonderful time spending the night looking at the stars! George was very friendly & super knowledgeable when describing the night sky. I loved the extra touches of hot chocolate, toasting marshmallows, blankets & a picture in front of the Milky Way (which he emailed to us after the tour). We also got to look through two telescopes at different parts of the sky including nebulas!
Great communication throughout regarding the weather conditions for the tour.
A relaxing night filled with wonder, I’d highly recommend if you’re staying in Tekapo!

Stunning scenery! Dani was a very pleasant and fun driver/guide. The weather was beautiful. However, the recommended trail was a highway of ppl. Would have liked a different option, more challenging, and hopefully, not a crowded! Mahalo.

We booked ourselves a Cass Valley four wheel drive experience which we thoroughly enjoyed.

It was wonderful seeing a mob of thar which was a first for us, a lone bull awhile later, a glacier at the end of the valley and last but not least a couple of NZ’s native falcon, one of which fed right in front of of us having just caught a meal.

Our guide and driver Paul was very informative and a great story teller, even made a great coffee to go with our afternoon complimentary chocolate.

If you want to see big country and all of the above, highly recommended!

After an unfortunate mechanical issue with our bus which meant we were delayed in leaving, our first leg of the journey was fabulous - Will, our guide, was knowledgeable and professional and kept us moving while still recognising that we wanted to see everything and get all our stops. The three of us moving on to Queenstown were well catered for and those returning to Christchurch were told the return time of the tour would be extended to account for the delay. Our second guide, Sinchan (Mt Cook to Queenstown) was also very knowledgeable but was quite a scary driver, speeding often and several times cutting corners which meant we went onto the other side of the road. Spectacular scenery the whole way along - a great way to see NZ without having to drive it yourself.

Our tour guide, Francois, was great. Super knowledgeable. The views were wonderful despite it being a cloudy day. We managed to get in a few good pictures before the fog came in. Pick up and drop offs happened as scheduled. Thanks for a great trip!

We chose to do the 10pm viewing and we’re not disappointed.

After a short bus ride to the top we were met by our guide for the night who gave us a briefing then off up the hill to the first level where the aurora could be seen, a first for us which was great!

Then on up the hill to the top where two telescopes were set up adjacent to a much bigger indoor telescope. Great viewing was had by all with a good clear sky.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared lots of information with us.

While there the breeze came up so we appreciated the extra warm long jackets that had been provided.

Back on the bus and to Te Anau after midnight - well pleased with the entire experience.

If you are interested in the night sky, this is a must do and we highly recommend it. Keep looking up!

Fantastic tour with Brent. We got a little goody bag with some NZ treats which was lovely. Brent was really informative. Gave us lots of information. He was very clear about how long we had at each spot. We also got lunch included which again was very yummy. I had a great day.

Just do it buddies ! Great coach, driver Stewart who knows so much of the land and history and geography. His discourse on the way was so educative. The drive is scenic beyond imagination. Photography is a must do. Many stops on the way. For washrooms, lunch, shopping and much more. Mount Cook and snow covered ranges, blue waters, Shepard’s church, ode to collie dog, and look out points. Never seen such beauty and maintained wonderfully. Kudos!

This was the most flexible tour I've ever seen. If you can't find exactly what you want, just let them know and I'm confident they will work it out exactly as you want. I appreciated that everyone on the tour seemed to have a different origin, stays, and destination and was amazed they were able to keep everyone straight. I wasn't able to make the connections with other travelers I had hoped for, though, with all the turnover. The scenery was beautiful and I really lucked out with gorgeous weather. My name was misspelled at the train station, a small glitch that was easily overcome since I had copied my email confirmation to the notes in my phone and could access without wifi. The delivery to my hotel was a glitch that was not as easily overcome. The shuttle dropped me off across the street because.... there was too much traffic!?! So I crossed a wet road in the dark, wearing dark clothes, dragging a large suitcase and carrying a heavy shoulder bag in between the heavy traffic. Delivery to my hotel was a wonderful amenity, but I wasn't a big fan of how it was accomplished. Would have given a five rating other than that.

Surpassed our expectations. Was our 40th wedding anniversary, so very similar haha!

Ben’s driving skills impeccable as is his eyesight- always amazes me when locals see something that I swear is not there, so I will google a picture next time.

Had beautiful mountain water and Ben was patient and answered questions he probably gets hundreds of times.

Cass Valley and farm was so interesting being a generational farm. From Mountains to braided rivers

Wasn’t rushed. If you are wavering, just go. Worth every cent and remember your camera. the ride isn’t scary or challenging if you’re a nervous nelly

    Thank you
