There are excellent views from this coastal walkway, both seawards and also inland as most of the promenade has small parks with trees and flowers, fountains and statues and all sorts of interesting things to see.
Beautiful ocean views and historic sights along the way as well as access to the beaches make it just perfect for strolling in a place that can be challenging to drive around.

If you fit and able and the tides out, walk along the beach next to the promenade, follow the bottom of the castle, go under draw bridge and you can walk around most of the castle, great views and quiet.
This place is absolutely beautiful we walked through the castle and made it to the very top where the light house is, from there you can appreciate the view of the ocean we sat there for a moment and took pictures...
