Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went on the 1Day Tu Lan Cave tour with Oxalis Adventure Tours on 13 Nov (1st day after wet season break). What a fantastic day - hiking, fording rivers, climbed down into cave and swam/floated through the cave and out into river. Helmets with lights were handy. Beautiful lunch riverside then hiked through prehistoric jungle and karst mountains to dry cave with bats, frogs, huge spiders. Dung and Bao, our guides were very entertaining and informative on the hike and on return bus trip along Ho Chi Minh trail. An amazing day, hot showers at the end were nice touch !

This cave re opened this year after safety improvements. It uses the same boat trip at Phong Nha cave and we purchased the ticket at the same time. They dropped us off on the Island, so you do this first, Island has lots of market stalls and food and drink plus toilets too. The sellers get a bit annoying, but not too pushy, its just constant as you walk past. We saw a snake there too which was fascinating.
There is a path that leads to the left and follow that up to the cave, 583 steps, the small glass platform is quite nice and views and very photogenic. There are more stairs inside the cave and a few spots where it is quite tight to squeeze through, but we really enjoyed looking through, it is quite beautiful and worth the effort in my opinion for an extra 80,000VND. They gave us an hour and that was plenty of time to wander through and back and get a drink. Wear decent shoes as not all surfaces are flat and bring water.

We wholeheartedly recommend Le Khang for help with your next travel! We have used them on our Phong Nha and The Paradise cave trip. In each instance, they listened to our preferences, supplied us with important details, and made our trips go much more smoothly than we could have begun to do on our own.Friendly, knowledgeable, reliable, with great follow-through. Plus, their food is DELICIOUS.

My wife and I had spent a few days in Dong Hoi, using it as a departure point for many of the attractions near by. On our last full day there we inquired at the hotel desk about the sand dunes we had heard about. We had the hotel call a cab, since the 10K walk was a bit much in the hot noon time sun.

The sand dunes were quite vast, consisting of rolling hills, gorges and beautifully wind sculpted surfaces, Much of the sand was covered with a hardy ground cover, vine-like plant life that spread its tentacles in many directions.

In an effort to find some shade we wound our way back to the road and through an incomplete housing development to the beach. The incoming tide left more than enough room to walk the seemingly endless, almost uninhabited beach.

A few hundred metres of walking brought us to a man, up to his thighs in the surf and covered in a cloth garment to protect himself from the intense sun. He was dragging a rake that uncovered small clams that he retrieved and placed in a sack. He struggled in the surf, but gave us a big arm wave of his own. A little further on, we met two young men who had been out fishing, using a large inner tube that had been tied in two places to create a boat-like configuration of the truck tire tube. They had been using it as a flotation device from which they could catch and gather sea life.

Wear a hat, take some water and sun tan lotion and give yourself a few hours to experience this slice of rural Vietnam.

Nhat Le Beach impressed us with its soft white sand, clear turquoise waters, and gentle waves. The expansive beach provided ample space to relax and unwind, while nearby cafes and restaurants offered delicious seafood. A fantastic spot for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the coastal ambiance.

What remains are the remnants of the church that was bombed during the warm.
One can't enter the building as only the structure remains, which has been cordoned.
