What travellers are saying
- Donaldnurse9999 contributionsA lovely vibrant town square. Lots of cafes and shops which are all reasonably priced. We spent a day in Kos town and having a cold beer in the square was just lovelyWritten 21 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dekofnotLeicester, UK545 contributionsWe were very fortunate in having an excellent guide who made the history fascinating and humorous. The 3 d tablet enabling you to visualise what may have been was a real bonus. One thing puzzled me.. was it bad design in making so many steps for sick people or was there a reason.?Written 30 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Charlie M3 contributionsEnoma Wine Tasting was excellent .Super wines and accompaniments Host was great and made the experience. She was very knowledgeable and did a great tour of the vineyard afterwards.
The winery is tucked away from the busy town down the hill so it is super peaceful and was a great way to spend a portion of our afternoon, would 100% recommend and do again.Written 25 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Amazing looking structure. No safety barriers but that’s fine as long as you’re mindful of this.
The museum was closed when we went but that could because it was the end of the season.. and we didn’t pay an entrance fee.
Even my partner said she really enjoyed seeing it and usually I’m the one dragging her around historical buildings..Written 29 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The Casa is extensive with lots of different rooms, a beautiful courtyard, lots of exhibits and even an upstairs floor. There are very readable information panels, in Greek and English - aren’t we lucky? It really is not to be missed.
As I paid to get in I was asked where we were from and said the UK. Guy on the cash desk contradicted me and said Ireland. I was then charged €3 each which is the EU rate, not €6 which is UK post Brexit. So there’s a tip I wish I’d known when I paid €6 to get into Kos Archaeological Museum, also well worth a visit.Written 7 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JRFlorence44 contributionsAbsolutely beautiful. Breakfast with a view of boats and islands and stunning crystal blue waters. There was four of us and for 4 breakfasts, orange juices and a coffee and a water each it was so reasonable and affordable. Fab treat to ourselves at the end of our holiday. Peaceful place to relax and dine or go for a stroll either at the evening or during the day.Written 3 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rebecca Sparkles25 contributionsI really was in my element here and I could have spent another hour walking around were it not for the heat! ☀️ 💦 The ruins were beautiful and I love the way they’re generally left without railings/chains etc and tourists are trusted to use their common sense so the feel is more authentic. There were signs dotted about but they were very old and I still couldn’t make sense of what was what when I was looking at the arial image of the agora. I would have really appreciated more info. But do you know what, for free, I can’t really complain! It’s a must seeWritten 6 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LondonSouthLondonSouth Wales, UK98 contributionsGraet to wander around and great for me. A well preserved roman street, original mosaics, wall paintngs, marble and archways all very absorbing and free.
For the kids a bit more on site information would have been good to bring things to life a bit more.Written 16 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LilBird80Kings Langley, UK23 contributionsLovely little museum, just off one of the squares. No big sign outside, so make sure you know what you’re looking for.
Very clean & well kept, nicely laid out & presented. 😊
I’m a bit of a geek & have visited other Greek museums so was a little underwhelmed, but that’s potentially just me. All the items were discovered on Kos at the surrounding historical sites.
€6 per adult, they prefer correct change.Written 28 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
