- Leone EvrenosShepperton, UK45 contributionsWe visit here in the months of March/May/June/July/Sep/Oct. Have a holiday flat in nearby Kapparis for 11 years. Lovely bay and beautiful walks. It is very suitable for children of all ages because it is sandy with a gradual entry into the water. Sometimes, on weekends and holidays, it is very crowded, which reduces the full enjoyment.Written 25 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ian's travelsBurton upon Trent, UK14 contributionsAfter struggling to get specific directions to find this beautiful church I decided to write a simple guide for anyone to follow. From the centre of Protaras, it will probably take about 20-25 minutes in a car but I walked it and it took a little over an hour so here goes... First of all, it is all uphill going so make sure you have good footwear and plenty of water and even a snack. The Google map route is a good one but signs for the church are in Greek and stop suddenly. So from Protaras (McDonald's) walk up the hill to the main road and look for the Red Indian restaurant with its huge teepee (opposite The Moody Cow pub/ Anatolia restaurant). Take the slip road next to the Red Indian and walk for a few hundred yards and take the fork off to the right. Walk for about half a mile (uphill) until you reach a crossroads and the signs will point left. Follow the track to the second sign which will send you right. There are a couple more signs and you will see a rest place on the left. You are almost there, Continue up the hill until you reach a sharp left turn with a sign. Look immediately ahead and you will the dome on top of the church and below it, the church itself. Don't do as I did and follow the sign as I missed the church the first time! It is a lovely walk and well worth the effort. And the bonus is, it is all downhill coming back...Enjoy!Written 2 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stelios GLarnaca, Cyprus204 contributionsThis was our first visit to the Anastasia Aquamania Waterpark. The entry fee for adults is 12 Euros and for children 6 Euros. We didn't pay the entry fee because it was included in the all-inclusive rate we opted for when we stayed at the adjacent Anastasia Beach Hotel. All we had to do was show the all-inclusive bracelet to a member of the waterpark staff at the entrance and they would let us in.
The waterpark has a decent selection of 8 slides for older children and adults (including a black hole / toilet bowl slide), a lazy river and a separate pool for younger children also with a decent selection of slides. There is also a pool bar serving good quality cocktails to guests and a decent amount of umbrellas and sunbeds.
There were several lifeguards on duty around the waterpark. This definitely gave parents of younger children at least some peace of mind during our visit;
Conclusion:
Well deserved 4/5 rating. Highly recommended. Definitely worth a visit.Written 11 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KC30000England, UK107 contributionsThis beach happened to be by our hotel and it is a very clean and well maintained beach. Soft sand and shallow crystal clear waters and for the time of year not too busy which was a bonus. It runs alongside the Protaras coastal path hence there are plenty of places to purchase refreshments. Although we had the use of the hotel facilities, there are also public toilets nearby and there are also shower facilities. Will definitely be visiting again in the future.Written 10 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
