I recommend you bring hiking shoes/shoes you don’t care about getting muddy. Our guide, Diego, and driver, Johnny, were amazing and took care of us every step of the way. Diego knew all about the plants/birds/snakes/wildlife and any questions we had he either answered on the spot or did the research and came back to us with an answer about a random tree we had inquired about. We saw two sloths as well as a couple of rare and interesting frogs and so much more. There was a lovely lady welcoming on arrival and gave us a key for the locker. All of the activities were nearby each other within the reserve, so didn’t need to get in the van in between. Also plenty of opportunities to change clothes if that’s your preference. The facility provided towels to use and the bathrooms were all very clean. - Shawn W1 contributionOur trip was rescheduled to a later time due to the rains they hd from the Tropical Storm and we were unable to see the waterfalls. However, with that said, Jason our tour guide took us to 2 beaches and gave us ample time to get in if wanted and see the beaches. The new course we took went through the city so we could see the sites a bit. Definitely still a great time even in the rain. From the orchid garden, the butterfly exhibit, the wild cats and the poisonous jungle frogs and snakes. All great but we also had a sloth class and watched one of 3 being fed. All the staff are very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. - Blair V18 contributionsFrom the price and description, my expectations were pretty high. Overall, it was a great! We didn’t see beaches or get our pictures taken so that was a huge bummer after looking at pics on other reviews. But I’m still thankful for our own unique experience that no one else will get. Our guide Alex knew everything about everything and is an incredible human. We stopped at a convenience store and had the most amazing snack I’ll ever eat in my life: pasteles. The Diamante Eco park is underwhelming but beautiful. They had a fabulous day, the guide was very helpful and considerate. They were asked in advance if they minded falling out of the raft. Another lady on their shuttle bus was on crutches so she was put in to another boat so they could be treated differently. They had a fun-filled adrenaline packed day and said the scenery was lovely. The ride was easy. The horses were wonderful and so gentle. The ride had a nice pace and the area was lovely.
