- Sharon P30 contributionsIt was a lovely private tour , just bearing in mind although our tour was private, the "hotspots" were very busy with other tours also. However, we worked around this by requesting we get taken to less popular spots to snorkel which still worked out well. The lunch that was prepared for us was amazing and plenty of it. From start to finish, we were treated with care, and we had an incredible day seeing all the most beautiful sites surrounding Coron. We started the day with some personal challenges and when I messaged the tour chat to advise we might be a little late for pick up, they immediately offered to help sort everything out with the support of some local knowledge. Once we made it on the boat the team were waiting with fresh drinks and snacks - their outstanding chefs prepared the best meal of our whole trip for lunch! The boat captain personalised our tour based on our preferred sites and made sure that we beat the crowds and got as much time as possible to take in all the gorgeous sites. - Daniel VRosemount, MN30 contributionsWe had a good time swimming in the lake and ocean. Lunch was very good. The tour guides were amazing in helping navigate the snorkelers around and seeing different things. The hike to the lake has a lot of stairs (500 steps up then down), but it was worth it to see and swim in the lake. The overlook for pictures is a choke point, though it has an amazing view. It does take 20-30 minutes to move between sites, but the views underway are really good.
Recommend you do either the snorkeling or the kayaking, but you really won't have time to do both well.
The boat was okay, but it had one seating area which was broken and not safe to sit. This made it tight for everyone since we all had to sit in the remaining seating areas.
You will want to bring lots of water (you are out on tour for 8 hours and the boat doesn't carry extras), sunscreen, water shoes, and something you keep your cellphone dry. At the wharf, before you leave, many people will try to sell you things for the trip, so if you forget something, you can get stuff before getting in the boat. There was a sign with my name on it, they asked if it was confirmed for 3, I said yes. I asked if this was for “Corazón Tours” and they said yes. We got in the van and then I got a message from TripAdvisor at 8:36am that we were on the the wrong van and wouldn’t be able to do the tour because we were on the cruise ship (but they offered port pickup specifically for the cruise visitors??) and we were also in the van with all other cruise passengers. They said I had until 8:40am to respond with a decision to cancel. I have slow service here so I didn’t see the message until after 8:42am. We got to the destination and I had the TripAdvisor agent talk to the driver and they told us it was fine and we were good to go even though it was a different agency. We went ahead and had fun, but the trip was cut short and we went to four destinations only and arrived back to the meeting point at 2pm, not 5pm. Us, along with two other passengers in the same trip and van, then got charged extra. We got charged 9,600 ($155 USD) pesos for three people extra on top of the TripAdvisor online payment of $96 USD. We fought with the agent as she claims we had “upgraded” even though it was cut short. Our group had the most amazing time on the double decker boat with slide!
