Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The water wasn’t so full the day I visited and there was a load of children from a school group so it wasn’t peaceful BUT it sounded wonderful and was cooler and a cup of tea beside it was nice.

I lastly went this cage it is emberressingly big and large there are many saloons people gave any saloon a name from the history of Ashab'ı Kehf's persons and the dog. There are many kind of stones and jewelery there espeicially from marble. You can go through that slowly at a half o clock. And it is free for any people and suitable for any age; except for having obstacles persons.

USE GOOGLE MAPS! - Wrong location in TripAdvisor.

There are not so many places that show recent periods, different epocs. And few of them are treated respectfully (despite of possible cultural, religious and social differences).
Here you can find tomb (most probably), Roman bridge, buildings, the mosque, description of Islamic, Byzantine and Ottoman relics (originals are shown in Tarsus museum).

I stayed in a hotel close to the gate. The coach from the airport stops right outside it. Nice shops etc around the area and the bus stops for the airport transfers are near it and they are a lot cheaper then a taxi from Adana airport!

Well it's about a small old covered market, it mainly offers souvenirs to buy, worth a quick visit while browsing around the old part of tarsus.

A quick stop but worth a peaceful moment in this church. Sat a bit inside to cool off and enjoyed the simplicity of the space.

We visited Tarsus by train from Adana , about 45 minute ride. We walked from train station to the house and well of St Paul. Tarsus is a lovely city to explore and the well of St Paul is in the old part. At the ticket office you can get a brochure with information about the well and the excavations of St Paul's house. The setting in the garden is lovely and peaceful. From there you can walk to St Paul's church through the old part of the city. Tarsus is a lovely day trip from Adana.

Hard to find, get to village from the man road, take the right from the small garage up hill) keep going uphill till it starts to level off and you get fork in the road, rake the right and at the end of the road is a rebuilt Roman gate on the left, and a house on the right.

Through the gate and walk, initially the large flagstones are missing then the road becomes clear.

Take water and enjoy the walk.... and wonder where the road stated and ended.

Well worth the effort to find. The way back was easier follow the road downhill, to the left drive through the active and massive quarry and your back on the main road.

This 12th century church was turned into a mosque in the 14th century. The interior still has un unmistakeably church like appearance. Beautiful lantern window remains in the ceiling - as well as an attractive later minaret. Don't miss this. Afterwards pass through the old city walls beside it and you will be able to enjoy a walk through the historic houses. Search out the Maca café (which sports a huge Turkish flag) ror refreshments in a splendid old house.
