Acadia National Park is beautiful! Drive the loop and make all the stops along the way. We got tickets to go up the mountain at sunrise. It was cloudy but we still got a beautiful view.

Acadia National Park left me breathless in more ways than one. From the stunning coastal views along Park Loop Road to the challenging yet rewarding hike up Cadillac Mountain, every moment felt like a postcard-worthy adventure. The variety of landscapes, from lush forests to rocky shores, kept the scenery constantly changing. Jordan Pond's serene beauty and the iconic Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse were personal highlights. The park isn't just a feast for the eyes; the crisp mountain air and the scent of pine trees made it a sensory delight. It's not just a national park; it's a haven for anyone seeking a perfect blend of outdoor exploration and soul-soothing tranquility. If you're in Maine and have an ounce of love for the great outdoors, Acadia is an absolute must-explore.

Camped at Hadley’s campground in our class C RV. Had shuttle service into Bar Harbor. We rented e-bikes and did the carriage roads. First time using e-bikes and was definitely fun! Love Bar Harbor with all the shops and food. Did the hike along the ocean and was nice. More like a stroll than a hike but that was good. Ate lobster dinners twice. C-Rays lobster shack was right across from the campground so walked there one night. Was worth it.

Perfect place to start the day and stroll along the bay. Beautiful view of Frenchman Bay and Bar Harbor Inn. Trail circle along the waterfront and back into town. Absolutely lovely!

Don't know how you could visit Acadia Natl Park without driving on this road. Lots of things to see, well-marked. Will intersect with hiking trails and the famous "carriage" roads. The haert of the National Park.

This hike starts at either Otter Point, or Sand Beach (that has a larger parking area than OP) and is 2.2 miles one way. Several areas to walk off the beaten path to explore the gorgeous views along the rocks of the mighty Atlantic Ocean. Passing by Thunder Hole is a treat, although the area is extremely crowded and is best seen between low and high tide. A great hike for all abilities and ages.

Amazing! Saw several small sea animals in the tidal pools. Took many pictures and even went back after tide covered the sand bridge to take more photos. One of many awe-inspiring sites in the Acadia/Bar Harbor area. It is a must see!

On a sunny Fall day one could not ask for a more beautiful hike. The Fall colors were out and the sky was clear. Consequently we had a very nice walk around Jordan Pond. This is a relatively easy 3+ mile walk. There is an extensive board walk, a little bit of granite through which to migrate, and the a wide path. It seems interesting to us that what one calls a "pond" in the NE would be called a lake in the West.

The Beehive portion of this hike is amazing! My teens (17 & 19) and my husband and I (47 & 48) LOVED it. We got to the Beehive section on a weekday around 11:00 am and it was crowded but not awful. This is a climb, not just a hike. While not one of the highest summits in the area, it has one of the steepest inclines to reach its top.

I am not afraid of heights; I love hiking “strenuous” trails and still my body had a physiological flutter of fear when climbing some of these rungs. It was exhilarating but if you are the least bit afraid of heights I suggest you skip the Beehive portion.

You’re in full sun, so wear SPF. It’s a short but intense trail so we paired it with a few others yet decided that on a hot day Beehive would pair well with a few hours at Sand Beach playing in the water.

This was a great park. Surprised by how many people were here, actually. It was late in the day, and we had a great time in the Visitors Center--shich is far better than the visitors center at Acadia. Don't miss it!

Beautiful gravel road bike paths that cross the Acadia state park. Easy path with limited hills with clear info on how to get around.

One of my favorite stops while touring Acadia. It was a beautiful day and we were there as the tide was coming in and the waves were beautiful!! While they say the water is very cold there were a few brave souls testing the waters!!! Sand Beach is a delite!
