Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited this area while touring Manaus. It's, by far, the nicest area we saw with new condos and a large hotel. The beach is man-made but looks nice. I'm not sure I'd go swimming but our guide said they have a net to keep the caiman out.

This beach visit was the end of six days in the M/Y Tucano up the Rio Negro. We'd fished, caught, and eaten piranha, and here I am in the same water as the fish.

We were advised to avoid swimming with open wounds and don't pee in the river for what you might attract. (The little buggers follow urine to its source!)

It is a nice beach run by the government. Our day there were only a few people there and no one selling anything. Nice.

There are no facilities, but lots of bushes.

This is a must stop, just for bragging rights. The water is calm, warm, and safe.

This is Manaus' best beach with fine white sand and tea-colored water. This can be coupled with a visit to the Museu do Seringal for a nice city escape. Most cabs/car & drivers will take you and pick up as well.

Very nice place to go! It is located on the other side of the Manaus bridge, almost 1 hour away from Amazonas capital city. White sand and the river! Be careful to go in the early morning since during sunny days both sand and water (naturally dark due to the river) get really hot. Be sure to go with a guide or someone who knows the way. It is worth the visit.
