On the northern side of the square, in the direction from which you came, there are houses that mark the ghetto of Jews from the 14th century, in which 60 families lived.
During my lunch a number of young families were stripping their kids naked to run through the fountain - do they ever wonder whether that is fresh or recycled water coming back through the fountains?
