Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I visited this park recently to enjoy a walk and the views of the Melbourne city skyline.

This park is a short driving distance from my house. It is well maintained and is popular among the locals.

Current Covid-19 lockdown in Melbourne restricts travel to local parks for exercise. This place is within 3 kilometers from my house.

My wife and I visited this Park to enjoy a walk, the scenic views, fresh air and sunshine.

This is relatively large local park with extensive open grounds and a playground. Located next to the Yarra River with nice views.

Scotch College is located next to this Park. Our son went to Scotch College for Years 7 to 12, so we are very familiar with this area. It is a very affluent suburb.

This lovely old church is an oasis of peace in amongst the bustling and vibrant Glenferrie Road shopping precinct.

Stunning stained glass windows, ornate religious statues, tiled floor and wooden pews. Everything beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean.

Like stepping back 100 years in time.

My childhood park is a little gem on the banks of the Yarra in Hawthorn. Bring your dog and the kids and have a very pleasant time.

Another year and another picnic. I am still surprised that this park is overlooked for social events. There are toilets, a playground, parking, BBQs, shelters, seating, all waiting for customers. It is close to the Bridge Road trams, too. We have a family and friends picnic every Xmas here and have a good spot by the river to enjoy ourselves.

Glenferrie Railway Station services the upper crust suburb of Hawthorn. It was recently upgraded to a Premium Station, which led to an improvement in services. The station dates from 1882. It services the Belgrave, Alamein and Lilydale lines. The station is quite picturesque -- it is on the Victorian Heritage Register

St James Park was named after Sir James Frederick Palmer who was the first President of the Victorian Legislative Council and also elected Mayor of Melbourne in 1845. Born in England, he migrated to Melbourne in 1840.

My wife and I visited this park recently to enjoy walking for exercise. During the pandemic, we had gotten used to visiting parks regularly and we have continued with this new hobby.

This park is very well maintained and is relatively large when compared to other parks in the area.

In a relatively quiet back street is this church with an impressive tower. Built between 1888 and 1890 in a Lombardic Romanesque style for the Wesleyan Church it is now a Uniting Church.

The Wurundjeri Garden is an environment that shows what these indigenous billabongs were once like. The Wurundjeri were signatories to the treaty with John Batman explorer and trader. The Wurundjeri had little remaining, except for Beruk, who was a leader of his people.

Auburn Station is on Auburn Road, techniically it's in Hawthorn East. The station dates from 1882, and serves the Lilydale, Belgrave and AlameIn Lines. The station is constructed of red brick and stccco, as were many stations of the time. The station ws raised to a two-storey strcture in 1916, due to tecnical requirements. Sadly, while some stations of that era, such as Essendon, have been upgraded , Auburn has been left to with on the vine. There can be few more aggravating experiences than waiting on the station, only to see a semi-express speed through. Auburn Station is on the Heritage Register; it is not without historical merit.
