It's interesting to see how small the boats were, but once you've had a poke around, there's not much else to do

A really interesting building containing a huge amount of history from its Moorish beginnings through the development into a monastery and its role in the history of Christopher Columbus instigating the project culminating in the exploration of the Americas and beyond. The audio guide is available in many languages, is very informative and free with the entry ticket (~€3.50). The building is stunning and contains many relics from throughout its history. There is also a large collection of art work to enjoy. Highly recommended for an hour out of your day. I would recommend visiting together with the local botanic garden and the museum of seafaring containing full sized replicas of the three ships Columbus took on his voyage to the Americas.

a very nice church, with stork nests on the top and a beautiful little square in front. worth to make a stop on your travel between Moguer and La Rabida.

Statue of Pinzon in plaza where the 'enterprise ' to the 'Indies' was proclaimed. Palos itself is very picturesque and well worth walking round. The old silted up port is on the west, about 20 minutes walk.
