The view here is always amazing and the beach is beautiful and clean. Fantastic water quality and a great day out with the family well worth the trip. Best to go in the morning and spend all day chilling to enjoy the sunset at the end of the day

Stunning scenery, and very peaceful. It is however quite a tricky walk, involving clambering over jagged rocks in some cases. Well worth it though if you can, for the sense of achievement for making it to the end.

We parked in the National Trust car park and walked out as soon as the causeway opened. You have approx 2.5 hours either side of low tide to get out and back. There is a sign to tell you when you need to be back at the weather station just before you drop down to the causeway.

It’s hard going, and a little nerve wracking on the second section clambering over the jagged rocks and very steep to get to the final section at the end. This was the second time we have done this walk, but the first to reach the end.

When we walked back we went down across the flat section on the right and then clambered back up at the end which was far easier.

Good gift shop with plenty on offer about the surrounding area. Teas and coffees to go, plus cake, are available here.

Joining other reviewers on the car parking point as we too got a fine for inadvertently under-paying. Top tip: ensure you make a note of your precise arrival time. When you go to pay, if as we did, you enter your reg no. and the machine says “5 hours..£3.50” do NOT assume this is how much is due. You apparently need to use the “+” button to proactively adjust the time and amount to match your stay. At time of writing it’s £5 for over 5 hours. If you’re not absolutely sure whether you’re within 5 hours or not, suggest paying the extra £1.50 to be safe. The fine is £60 (£100 if not paid within 14 days of the date of the letter), no number to call, just a burdensome written appeals process etc.

On a happier note, the ice cream we got from the cart in the car park was the best all holiday - genuine Italian-standard, highly recommend.

We enjoyed the peacefulness of this small church. The graveyard has some interesting headstones, many very old. The church has a calm atmosphere, and was good to wander round.

Having surfed Rhossili Bay on a plywood surf board in the early 1960's it was great to visit and find that "Let's Surf Gower" are upholding the surfing tradition.
