You can see them primarily in the two small coves sandwiched between Praia dos Olhos de Água and Praia do Barranco das Belharucas. Most of the reviews already posted on this listing are not for the springs but specifically about the two beaches Praia dos Olhos de Água and Praia do Barranco das Belharucas, both of which have their own Trip Advisor listings under beaches. The one with the beach huts is Praia dos Olhos de Água for example.
The small cove that takes its name from the springs Olheiros de Água Doce is a small, sheltered cove which is accessed by a large black wooden staircase entered from the road just before the Tui Blue Falecia hotel. It is not the staircase shown on the photographs as this is the one for the Praia do Barranco das Belharucas next door which leads from the 3HB Falecia Garden and the Porto Bay Falecia hotels.
This particular cove is a lovely, sheltered spot but with no facilities and no shade, so if intending to spend some time here make sure you bring what you need and especially a beach umbrella. The sea is lovely and it’s safe to swim here, but you will need to step over rocks to get in the sea here, unlike the two larger public beaches either side.
The small sister cove next door is known as Praia dos Cruz as is equally as nice. You can climb and scramble over the separating rock cliff between the two, but it’s not straight forward, and Praia dos Cruz is probably better accessed from the Miradouro da Praia dos Olhos de Água, the lookout point at the eastern end of Praia dos Olhos de Água.
You have probably gathered it by now anyway, but just to confirm, neither of these two small coves are suitable for those with mobility issues. For wheelchair users Praia dos Olhos de Água is probably the best, but there are still issues with this one.

My 3rd time at this resort which is really lovely and not at all rowdy. The beach is very beautiful and very clean with amazing cliffs. There are quite a few restaurant overlooking the sea too with fabulous views. There are a nice amount of restaurants and shops all within walking distance. Albufeira Old Town a short ride away in an Uber - approx 4.50 Euros

In the same way that the Costa’s are not representative of the true Spain, the Algarve and Albefuira in particular, is not representative of the true Portugal.
The historic centre does give you a glimpse, but you need to search it out away from the tourist focussed sections and If your experience of the Old Town is just the central square and it’s surrounding streets with its tourist tackiness and lack of culture, then I can understand some of the reviews below.
However you have to explore a bit further to find the remaining untouched bits. You are looking for the streets between the Porta do Norte and the Portas Da Villa Antiquity Bar, and if you need a Google reference point then I would suggest to use the Três Coroas restaurant or the Capela da Misericórdia and then explore the streets surrounding these. Then the area around the clock tower and the Catholic Church Igreja Matriz de Albufeira is worth exploring also.
If you want to escape from the bland bar scene then these areas are nice to explore during the day.

We have been visiting this beach for many years now after staying in a Villa nearby and it is within walking distance for us.

It is only a small beach which seems to get busier each year.

It’s great to watch the sun go down and there are lots of cliff walks nearby.

Decent area of fine sand located at the bottom of the escalators from the elevated view point. It combines with the beach next to it, Praia de Peneco to form the main beach area for the Old Town. Several sun bed rental areas along its length and if walk to the far end you can always take the Elevator do Peneco back up to the Old Town itself.

Nice shopping centre near Albufaira. Mostly open air style, with many stores , clothing, shoes, jewelry etc..a big supermarket, cinema and a food court. You have a few stores here that you won't find in the MAR shopping mall. E.g The Body Shop..
