Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- pappaQ_LdsWakefield, UK389 contributionsRun by very friendly volunteers this is with a visit. Cafe, nature trail and exhibition shed with various locomotives in various stages of restoration. Good insight into the past industry in the area. Nice place for a picnic too. Not massive but worth it. Very reasonably priced. Working engine on special days so check out before visit. Only open certain days if the week.Written 2 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- pooldave180Peterborough, UK173 contributionsNow called rocks by rails long gone are the days of this place looking like a scrap yard. Volunteers all friendly and enthusiastic. Cafe with with very reasonable prices. Nice little bit of track with brake van rides behind diesel or steam engine depending on the day. Drive a diesel for a fiver is well worth a go and great value. Please check the website for running days or better still give them a call to avoid disappointment. Great new loco shed open to viewing, lovely little nature trail. This is a volunteer run place a they deserve a lot of praise for turning this place around. I look forward to going back to see how they progress. They are on the look out for volunteers on Tuesday's, Thursday and Saturdays so if you local go and give them a hand and enjoy yourself at the same time.!Written 20 June 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - REA764Cambridge, UK9 contributionsOn a chilly day at the end of December, Gill and Simon gave 6 family members a very jolly morning laser clay pigeon shooting at Wymondham Windmill. They explained the use of the gun and how to hit the targets very well, and ran a competition between the 6 of us. Throughout they were cheerful and chatty. A happy morning.Written 12 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
