What travellers are saying
- Annie PGrevenbroich, Germany22 contributionsThe museum consists of many modern buildings with an eclectic amount of art work from paintings to sculptures. The surrounding gardens are beautiful to get lost in and explore. The museum runs along the Erft river. There are various refreshments, such as local produce like baked potatoes and apples to coffee and tea, on offer in the cafeteria. And it's free with admission.
The only down fall is the steep entrance fee- 15 euro per adult. I felt the experience was worth 10 euro max. I would visit this museum again.Written 16 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. On the outside as well as on the inside, you can wonder and gaze at the play of forms, lines, decorative details, wall paintings and stained glass windows. It acts as a Gesamtkunstwerk.Written 14 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- PaulBMaastricht, The Netherlands3,127 contributionsThe huge Rheinpark Center is located East of Neuss, towards Düsseldorf, near the river Rhine.
Is has a large Real supermarket, all shops that you'll find in an average German city center, a food court etc.
If you like to shop, this is a place to go.
A disavantage, it seems that they want custumors to leave within an hour, since you'll have to pay for the car park (€ 1.50 per hour) from the second hour.Written 15 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The space is very minimalistic with concrete and lots of grey. Amazing! I love it when places and spaces get another function.Written 3 May 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - StevenKolsterenGroningen, The Netherlands191 contributionsThe presentation ranges from Roman Neuss to Pre-Raphaelites and Symbolists and modern art, based on the collection of Clemens Sels. Unfortunately, the medieval part of the Obertor was closed and staff were not very welcoming (work in progress). The wall texts in English and German are very good..In several places, a blank spot between paintings indicated a missing picture, but no information how and why. For example Rossetti's portrait of Mary Zambaco is there, but Burne-Jones' is missing (although it is printed on the back of the ticket).Written 14 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Guido BChalon-sur-Saone, France80 contributionsBeautiful museum building by the Japanese architect Tadeo Ando (very rare for Europe. I only know of one other Ando building in Europe at Chateau Lacoste near Aix en Provence, France). Excellent exhibition by the Polish German artist Alicja Kwade when we visited it. Must see!Written 2 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GuppeCHulshout, Belgium654 contributionsImpressive ancient gateway. a lot of history and info signs to give some additional information. Not far from the city centre, so worth a quick visit.Written 7 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
