Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This museum has an amazing staff and a massive amount of incredibly old (yet still shinning and working) firetrucks and a beautiful/rich history.

Huge place with two floors full of different exhibits with different themes changing from time to time.
You might want to look at their homepage and see the age recommendation for the exhibits beforehand and decide a possible visit as we experienced some of them to difficult for our kids to follow.

Expensive but many hours of fun - skip the souvenir store.

Ordrupgaard is a must for people who love 19th century French art: there are about 200 wonderful and rarely-seen works from the period, including works by Degas, Gaugin, Sisley, Corot, Cezanne, Courbet, Manet, Monet, Matisse, Renoir, Rodin etc.

Also a great selection of works by Danish painters of the same era, including the hyperrealist L.A. Ring, one of the first to portray working-class Danish artisans and villagers, and the wonderful atmospheric work of Hammershøi.

Modern architecture fans will enjoy Zara Hadid's extension to the original manor house.

Café is excellent with a good selection of Japanese tea. Reserve a table in advance on busy days.

A beautiful and peaceful park in memory of the Danes who died in the struggle for freedom during the Second World War. Either as resistance fighters executed by the German occupying forces, or as soldiers in Allied service fell in battle, or as sailors died while sailing in convoy service.
    Honored be their memory.

Very nice park in suburb of Copenhagen. Don’t have any cafe or drinks inside though. The only opened “Tea house” was half-empty, but you are not allowed sit there without booking of table 🙃

This museum always has small interesting exhibitions. Next up for us : Danish silver! Check opening times as limited.
It is in a lovely park, with some fine sculptures, and has an excellent cafe next to it.

Finn Juhl’s house is an extraordinary example of Danish design in both architecture and furniture design - if you are interested in architecture, this is a must see! The seamless interplay between the interior design's colors, materials and furnishings is something to see - and you can view Juhl's collection of modernist arts and crafts. Recommend!

This place is located just next to the shorline and it's quite popular. The food here is very good and the staff do their best to get things right, however, our order had to be completed as one in our group hade an allergy that they didn't quite get right the first time.

Great for adults as well as children to see and sense what the life was in this fortres in Denmark just before and during the first World War.
There are clear introductions in Danish and English.
It is possible to book guided tours and celebrate birthday parties for children and learn something about history. Great.

This was once a forest botanic garden with gate and fence.
That time is long past. But the trees are still there. And the exotic now more well known rhododendrons is still beautiful in blossom. :)

Gentofte church is surrounded by an old, but still in use, graveyard. It has been modernized and extended several times, the last change , colored glass windows designed by a modern artist, maybe not really successful.
Like most Danish churches it reflects the country history, with a sail ship hanging from a ceiling.
Besides church services , it is a place for choir and music concerts.
