This is a must see in Oamaru. Great fun and some real surprises. Don’t miss the mirror light room or the laser gun. Great imagination has been put into these exhibits

They have created a lovely Public Garden here in Oamaru.

Lots of difference sections of flower beds, a children’s playground, a rotunda, an aviary, a fountain and lots of park benches to sit and enjoy the views.

Great place to wonder and relax.

Absolutely worth visiting! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the friendly ladies - and transported back into the 19th Century! The museum has great Victorian arcades, a little movie area to watch short films, olden-day classroom, bar, and a working carousel!! A lady by the name of Tiddy (I hope I spelled correctly) was very lovely and she showed our daughter how to use spinning wheel. Thank you for a great experience!
    Super impressed!!

These are an unusual collection of round boulders on the beach. At the time of our visit, they were partially covered because the tide was high. On the clifftop is a visitor centre and also a small cafe where we had a good coffee.

Took an America friend to see the home of refrigerated meat production in New Zealand. The volunteers at Totara are very informative & welcoming. A very good self guided tour through the buildings & grounds in beautiful countryside is a nice way to spend half a day with a Devonshire tea of freshly baked warm scones, jam, & cream to round out our visit.

My husband is a bourbon and whisky lover so of course we had to stop here. I did not taste since I am not a fan but enjoyed watching him try all of them and enjoyed talking with the bartender (is this what you call them?). Staff very friendly. My husband really liked the Dunedin Doublewood so we took a bottle back to the states with us.

    What an experience.
The Artist Donna was as delightful and passionate as her paintings and Artistic creations.
I immersed myself in the glorious surroundings of her passion.
An hour was not long enough.
    Thank you Donna.
    You are an INSPIRATION

We did the one hour trek and all four of us are not experinced both our children had someone guiding them. They only do one trip a day to keep their horses fresh and make it the best experience. I can't speak more highly about the trip and would highly recomend booking up. Waiding through streams and through a forest. I had not ridden a horse ever and teally enjoyed it.

The opera house is beautiful. I did take a photo outside. It should be nice to have a chance to watch a concert or musical inside!
