In that Australia was founded on “convict labor”, the Franmantle Prison tour is a must while visiting Western Australia! The 2 tours that we attended while there were extremely informative about the origins of Australia and prison life of the time. Being a history lover… and an employee of a NYS maximum security prison, I found the tours very interesting! I would recommend it highly… especially for 1st time visitors!

Love the sea link experience. Friendly staff onboard.
Will only use them in future.

The best of the ferry options :)

Really enjoyed our visit to the Museum. We did the submarine tour which having never been we .enjoyed. But our guide was very rude throughout the trip . Felt we were being told off throughout the tour.

It was a really hot day when we visited here: the crowds and lack of good air flow made it even hotter. They have crammed a lot into a small space. Even so, it was interesting, and had an eclectic assortment of foods and chattels for sale. It's an easy 10-15 minute walk from the train station, and is about five brisk-walking minutes from Fremantle Prison.

A great collection of artefacts from various shipwrecks. Very good stories to explain what happened. The Batavia display is amazing, and Geoff was able to give us a very detailed answer to my question about provenance of the overall collection. Worth visiting, and nicely air conditioned,

We had a lovely couple of hours here to finish off a great day trip to Freemantle.
Superb selection of craft beers and a lovely airy setting. Loved the massive vats snd pipes of the brewery as a backdrop
Very friendly staff, so full of good cheer and advice on what to try.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it without hesitation.

Rottnest Island is beautiful, calm and photogenic. Every one arrives to this island happy, joyful, relaxing and fun. Little did we know the island's dark history and sad stories. The lady in the museum told us the things happened in the past and the knowledge makes the island more meaningful to visit. November is the month for the breeding of bush flies. They just surround us and poke into our eyes, nostril and mouth for moisture. The quokkas are friendly and cute.

Wonderful welcome by enthusiastic volunteers who explained the whole history. Small place with quite steep steps but it is definitely worth going too to hear the tales and see the Wonderful views.

Rottnest Island is absolutely worth a visit. We took the SeaLink ferry from Fremantle and hired a bike once we arrived on the Island. Really good organisation (unfortunately in our case the e-bikes were not available anymore, it's best to pre-book them). Take it slowly and do not rush on the road; no-one is chasing you and you risk to miss hidden gems along the way. Be sure you have in your bag plenty of sun cream and water. Take your breaks and have a swim in the amazing waters of this island. Throughout the day you might spot some quokkas (and even blue-tongued skinks!) under the bushes, but if you are back at the pier at around 16-17 you will be surprised to see them comfortably walking around the pedestrian areas.

Spent many days on this beach during my stay. Always plenty of space even on busy days. Very clean and great for walking along waters edge from end to end. Plenty of parking and a great cafe where you can get ices, coffees and breakfast.
Backed by sand dunes and green space, there’s plenty of room to have your picnic, play games or chill and watch the sunset.
Located next to dog beaches too.
