I strongly suggest visiting this destination; it offers a delightful experience with excellent cuisine, fantastic scenery, and the added bonus of a captivating heat wave during my stay.

This Roman Catholic Cathedral is another exquisite example of the Brazilian Architect Oscar Niemeyer. The building’s cornerstone was laid in 1969 but it stalled and was only completed in 1970.

We visited whilst a service was taking place. The interior design and stained glass windows allows daylight to brighten in colour the interior. Our access was via steps to a below ground entrance.

We’ll worth a visit maybe in the evening when the lighting changes!

It is a Christian sanctuary, Linked to the Salesian order. The highest point are the Blue glass Windows, disposed in mosaics.

Memorial really well structured and kept, lots of history behind JK’s life, career, accomplishments, and family. Great place to learn about one of Brazil most impactful presidents.

The one hour tour of this building features visits to both chambers and various other places in between. The building is a masterpiece in architecture and well worth looking around the exterior as well as interior. There are complimentary postcards offered where you can send them to anywhere postage paid by Congresso Nacional which adds a nice touch to this already great attraction where there is no price of admission. Tours in English are available at the weekend, or if you join a weekday tour it will be in Portuguese and you'll be handed a six page printout to guide you through thre tour. Well worth visiting.

With rotating, participatory exhibits, an excellent shop and cafe, this is a stop on every visit we make to Brasilia. Many child-friendly features.

You can go and make a barbecue on the special area for this. You take your bike and ride or just run if you like, and after the exercise stop by and have a beer. There is a kart ring where you can compete. There are many enternaing options at the park.

Located by the Market and not far from the fountains. (Not to be confused with the digital TV tower on the other side of the lake.

The tower is a popular attraction for many as you can visit the restaurant which is partway up the tower or take the elevator to the observation deck further up the tower at a height of 72 metres . It is 224 metres high. There is no charge but a Passport is required as proof of Identity to gain access

There were always queues when we visited and not much cover from the hot sun.

The resort where we stayed is on the Lake which provides lovely views, especially the sun sets.
There are plenty of sailing yachts and boats on the lake. It is man made and there are areas that have ‘artificial’ sandy beaches. It is about 48 kilometres in length and has a maximum depth of 38 metres.

There is plenty of wildlife to see such as Herons, Egrets,Kingfishers, Falcons, and Capybaras.

There are 3 bridges that cross this huge lake the most notable is the JK ( Juscelino Kubitschek) Bridge built in 2002.

The highlight of any visit must be the sunset!

We were thrilled to find the Temple of Good Will (TGW) in the capital of Brazil, Brasilia. The pyramid shaped building has a labyrinth on the lower level inside - set up to walk while holding intentions for peace, with a sign in book, energized water to sip, and a place to write and put your prayer requests to be held in this field. This was what drew us originally as we enjoy the balancing and connected energies of labyrinths in various places around the world.

We were impressed at all the extensive displays of contributions from many countries around the world including a section of Egyptian statues. Pictures and acknowledgement of many peacemakers from hundreds of years of Earth's history decorate the walls, and there are many displays and contributions from many countries. It is quite inspiring and touching - and we felt worth the visit.

We learned there that Jose de Paiva Netto, who developed and opened the Temple in October 1989, is also an extensive author. We have yet to check out his writing. We learned while in Brazil there are many interesting authors and individuals who helped cultivate open minded global views.

NOTE: The Temple of Good Will is open 24 hrs. Their dress code includes being modest and knees covered. For those who show up in shorts they have aprons that can be worn.

I saw this bridge as part of a city tour arranged by my hotel with Rainha da Paz Turismo. Our English-speaking guide, Iraquemes, had a rich knowledge of all the places we stopped, a friendly manner, and a willingness to answer all kinds of questions. This bridge was designed to mimick skipping stones over Lake Paranoa. We didn't stay long, but enjoyed seeing the span and see locals out enjoying the lake- fishing, sailing, and just being outdoors.
