What travellers are saying
- familyis4everSpringfield, MO305 contributionsOf course, there was gorgeous fauna and beautiful buildings. I helped organize a wedding here and the staff was absolutely delightful. When we ran into an unexpected storm, they were readily accessible and prepared with a plan for safety.Written 6 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Beth A51 contributionsHours of exhibits to wander, with at least 5 large permanent installations and 2 guest exhibits on the top floor. Perfectly suited for adults but geared towards children, and expect many young children and the noise and traffic that comes with on a weekend.Written 16 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - James TBoston, MA52 contributionsClean and several good restaurants and bars in the immediate area. Morning flight cancelled -- had 10 hours to kill-- took Metro from airport to downtown and back.Written 30 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Mount Evans near Denver is a stunning escape into nature. The drive to the summit unveils breathtaking views, and at 14,264 feet, the panorama is simply awe-inspiring. Surrounded by wildlife and alpine beauty, it's a must-visit for nature lovers seeking a quick, unforgettable mountain getaway!!Written 26 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I've patronized other revived transportation terminals from coast to coast (e.g., Washington DC and San Francisco), and none come close to the ingenious re-use in Denver. Its restaurants could feed you every day for a year without once repeating meals. Its non-food tenants, such as Tattered Cover bookstore, are tied to travel, adventure, and distant destinations. And yet it's still a functioning train station, with prolific signage indicating locations for ticket purchase, train locations, and such. Union Station is a must-see, must-patronize site for anyone seeking a complete Denver experience.Written 14 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Manuel CAltamonte Springs, FL34 contributionsSuch a cool place, we did the AUDIO portion as well as the multi level portion. We were confused on pricing as the non resident shows $22 but the non resident with audio must be $27? Not a big deal, but we did buy online so when we went in it was confusing and didn't ask to get clarification. But when we went upstairs we did see the sign showing this tour wasn't part of the regular tickets. So it may be that.
Overall we had a blast, too many photos to post, stayed for 3 hours. And we parked on the street which probably saved us money on having to use a parking garage as it was only a one block walk.
Establishment was clean, well kept, Not all of the people standing to watch over the areas were too friendly as it seemed more like a chore to stand there. But it didn't deter us from having a good time, Lots to see, the audio exhibit area was cool as it was a refreshing upgrade to have that on tour.
Each level seemed to have endless art and so on. It was a very nice portion of our trip.
We flew into Denver, ate, then went to the museum to spend some time.Written 13 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The layout is such that you can “go with the flow” without worrying that you’ll miss something or go around in circles. There were plenty of animals despite the chilly weather. The staff is very knowledgable and eager to answer questions about the animals. I’d happily visit again.Written 18 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jason M1 contributionThis is a great tour. Guide was super knowledgeable and fun. She even has a very friendly adorable dog. Definitely know more about whiskey than I did before. - williamjamesiiiLas Vegas, NV10 contributionsThe bartender at my hotel in Denver insisted if we had one day to see the mountains we must do the Mount Evans Scenic Byway and SHE WAS RIGHT! You can see for miles and miles, there is the cutest lodge at the bottom and a gorgeous alpine lake along the way. But the best part is the wild goats roaming the summit and parking lot!! The kids loved them. The drive is a little scary so put the best driver in your group forth and white knuckle your way to the top!! It's worth it!!!Written 7 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
