- Dayle HWinnipeg, Canada1 contributionHoping to inspire our grandchild! I would appreciate more description of each attraction to help decide which to do. - runner24Orlando, FL1,554 contributionsAs a photographer, I've been coming to Merritt Island NWR for years. You never know what you'll encounter but I must say that the last few years the bird count has been down. Ten years ago you would tire from all the targets that availaded themselves around the area. Not so much the last few years. Still, I visit a couple times a year, as I say, you never know.Written 3 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JRCocoa Beach, FL4 contributionsWe decided to visit the Samās House on the Pine Island reserve this week to get some exercise and explore a new area. We walked the White, Blue, and Garnet trails; approx. 3 miles total. I absolutely loved every minute of my visit! Took my camera along a fiddled with it a bit for some great shots! - Randall S2 contributionsSmall park. You can rent kayaks. You can see the snouts of the manatees from the shoreline however the guide said it's better to get on a kayak and get out into the middle of the water to see them. We didn't have time to do that.Written 11 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- aschoonoDeWitt, MI488 contributionsWe tried to go to the Brevard Zoo but tickets were sold out so we came to check out the Obloy Family Ranch. It is more like a petting zoo.
Things started off badly. We went in and purchased tickets and animal food, no problem here. We werenāt told that they were busy and we had to wait to take a hay ride to where the animals were. We waited over an hour for this. It was chaos, no line and people would randomly get on the hay ride. People yelling at other people because they werenāt waiting their turn and so forth. If we would have been told it would have been that long we would have left. We were told multiple times they would be back and we would get our turn soon.
Our kids loved seeing the animals up close. They are 1 and 5. They were a little scared to feed some but it was fun with the animals so close. Lots of different kinds of animals from goats, cows, camels, donkeys, bunnies, sloths and anteaters. We would have enjoyed if it wasnāt as busy. They did have horse back riding but this was sold out for the day.Written 9 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
