What travellers are saying
- 2013TravelinFoolMesquite, NV2,759 contributionsA must see, a little out of the way but you won’t be sorry. There was a volunteer there showing baby birds in the rocks, stunning site. The view was amazing and weather PERFECT!Written 17 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kathy EPortland, Oregon2,746 contributionsWhat a great find! A lovely, air-conditioned visitor center with excellent displays, a worthwhile film, and helpful employees. Large clean restrooms were a real plus.
We went on a 4 mile round trip, level hike along the Wilson River to Wilson Falls. It was just right for me at 75-years-old. You can hike farther if you wish or stop sooner and sit on a small beach.
Oh, and there's tons of parking. That's a real bonus along the Wilson River.Written 2 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Some things I learned while staying there: The host sells kiln dried firewood for $7 a bundle and a bag of ice for $3. The cell service didn't work in yurt C-40 but it did more or less by the bathrooms. This was T-Mobile. Reviews that I read about the roots on the North Cape trail were accurate. I turned around when I got to them. If you are a bird watcher, be sure to walk past the brushy areas on the road in front of the dunes, especially in the morning. Also, visit Sitka Sedge Sate National Area where you are likely to see the Western Snowy Plovers, a threatened species.Written 14 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MAXFLITEHillsboro, OR180 contributionsExactly what is this joint? Park and look around...a garden, a wedding venue, a nursery, gift shop, knickknacks, cafe...we still wonder.
All that said, for a roadside stand it is something else.
A bit spendy for a sandwich shop but the food is great and you will compliment the cooks that you can speak to at their grill. The BLT was delicious and ample. The potato salad was creamy and delicate.
Be careful because if you are driving south from Tillamook, it is in a sharp turn. You can easily miss it because there is no signage until it is too late.
Staff is friendly and helpful...go ahead spend it.Written 23 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was easy walking with wide and well-maintained paths.Written 26 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joy JLimon, CO45 contributionsThis was a multi-section museum with a large collection of the history of Blacks in Oregon. Who knew this? Totally worth the stop.Written 13 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ReefWatchIndianapolis263 contributionsSmall, secluded state park outside of Tillamook. The dunes are densely covered in grasses, spruces, and wild berries. There are some trails through and around the park. We were alone on the beach, and the views were lovely. $10 per carload.Written 16 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Patti SBradenton, FL45 contributionsThis was a pleasantly surprising stop. We saw people of all ages enjoying the exhibits. As a frequent flyer, I appreciated the TWA exhibit of the 1973 luxury plane in all its artistic splendor. The WWII bunker exhibit was particularly moving. Do take the time to watch the video in the tent and the film about the Hindenburg airship in the movie theater. Board the Guppy to experience a cargo airplane so large that it can house another airplane. I have been to other airplane museums and this one is unique. Plan to spend 1-2 hours there.Written 13 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ngg999Vancouver, Canada223 contributionsThis is a great place to stop if you enjoy textile crafts. There is a fine display of weaving, a good selection of quilts on display - some of which are by featured artists, and a selection of needlework. There is a small charge for admittance, and you are able to purchase a variety of items. If you enjoy textile arts, be sure to stop in.Written 31 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jill CGladwin, MI108 contributionsOne of best “tasting” breweries in US+ Beer is comparable to Cantillon Brewery in Brussels, Belgium.
Nice employees, comfortable, atmosphere, outdoor seating. Lots of great choices to drink there or buy.
Marketing items; glasses, other could be promoted better, no suggestion even by server.
I didn’t notice any food snacks nor offered, but one thing to add is a few cold snacks or appetizers like cheese plates, nuts, pretzels something to help the palate a change between tasting different beers. Are you allowed to bring in your own?Written 25 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Instruction was geared to all levels of experience and interest, and the casual fun evening flew by. We love our souvenir prints from the night, and enjoyed making art while surrounded with great art from local artists. It was definitely an experience we look forward to having again!!!Written 22 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CO_Traveller62Denver, CO62 contributionsWe were exploring Tillamook on a recent visit and were told to checkout Valley Fresh Produce from a local. The store is quite small, but the fruits and vegetables are local, fresh and priced cheaper than the large grocers. We had already purchased our groceries for our trip, but our visit to the store proved that we should have stopped here first. The produce was attractive, looked fresher and was lower priced. We will definitely make this a stop on a future visit and highly recommend it to those visiting the area.Written 21 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
