What travellers are saying
- MariaBCaliforniaChino Hills, CA591 contributionsMy husband and I drove through here and had a great time. So many different types of animals to see - even reindeer! They animals seemed well-cared for and did not appear to be stressed by the vehicles driving by. It was nice to walk around after the driving part to see the other types of animals living there. Parking was free and they had a huge gift shop as well.Written 23 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jordy MRapid City, SD7 contributionsBeautiful place! The animals seemed very well cared for and the staff was kind and knowledgeable. We liked that it was a small group of people working and everyone seemed close with the animals and the guests. - MariaBCaliforniaChino Hills, CA591 contributionsMy husband and I had the best time seeing all of the different formations here. We drove through, taking breaks to walk around some of the different areas. We saw some bison and big-horned sheep as well. A must-see if you are in South Dakota.Written 23 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- kcby72 contributionsArrived at the space museum to see that the indoor museum was closed. One of the employees came to talk to us and told us they have been closed since 2020. Unfortunately, the website we had used didn’t mention this and we were told that website isn’t run by the museum. So if you want actual info from the museum it is best to use the South Dakota Air and Space Museum Facebook page. Even though the inside was closed we spent about an hour at the outdoor air park. There are approximately 25 or so aircraft and info on each one. If you enjoy military aircraft this is a great stop and it’s free, with ample parking available.Written 24 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. However it has a nice section on native Americans and some cowboy/animal items.
