We loved the Museum of Appalachia -- it has something for everyone. The buildings provide insights to life in earlier times. The musical instruments are a treasure -- especially with so many attached stories of the musicians and how the collector obtained each item. The extensive collection of artifacts gives insights to life in earlier decades along with historical facts. We spent almost 4 hours but could have stayed all day. We will certainly return for more.

We were a group of seven friends who took Kathy’s class on making sachets. It was very interesting and great fun. We all went home with 5 beautiful and fragrant pieces. I have been there several times in the past and the plants are healthy and gorgeous!

The Little Ponderosa Petting Zoo was a perfect way to spend an afternoon. It is a small rescue and petting zoo not a major zoo like the Knoxville Zoo but that is also a plus if you like less crowds and more touching animals. We bought a big bucket of animal feed ($20) and asked for 2 small buckets so each child had one. This excursion was not cheap but well worth it and you are helping to take care of animals. It is good for all ages. We had a 2 and 5 year old, young adults and 60 year olds. We all had a great time. I would suggest to take 1 small hand sanitizer after feeding all the animals. We enjoyed the autumn/ Halloween decorations, play area (slide and swings), climbing through the fox house, and the most fun was feeding the animals. They have ponies to ride and an area for birthday parties which we did not use. I have also been to this petting zoo on a first grade fieldtrip and enjoyed that day too. Animals seemed very well cared for. Yes, I would recommend this to anyone who loves animals. We spent about 21/2 hours. Easy to spend more or less. Once you pay, you can spend the day. Some animals included: goats, deer, foxes, tiger, monkeys, wolves, zebra, alpaca, emus, kangaroo, snakes, birds, camels, ostriches and more!

I was interested when I saw the statues, I wasn’t aware of the history so when me and my granddaughter was driving from Cincinnati to Chattanooga decided to stop. We were greeted by Janna who gave us a briefing about the center and the Clinton 12. Enjoyed the short video prior to the walk through. After the walkthrough watched the 45 minutes video which was pretty good due to you hear from some of the people, If you don’t have time for video you can see it on YouTube.
    Kudos to Janna

This is a little park between Clinton and Oak Ridge. Nice picnic area. Has covered tables also. It is on the river and has a dock to walk out on and fish if you want. Boat launch but have never used it.

Unique gift shop! I found several items that can't be found anywhere else. I love the fact that everything they sell was created by local artists.

Very friendly staff loaded with great information about the surronding area and things to do. Plenty of recommendations for places to visit, great locations for dining, and also for hotels. Beautiful log cabin structure and a nice place to take a breather while passing through Clinton and the Anderson County area. Located less than a half-mile off of I-75 at exit 122.

Fantastic privately-owned collection of settlement-era buildings. They have re-enactment days once or twice a year, free, but be kind and leave a donation.

The store itself has an upstairs and the basement. On the day we were there, they were standing water in the basement with all the merchandise. The lady working there never spoke to us the entire time we were there. The upstairs was stuffed full of vintage items, most above market value by 50%. This being a Wednesday however at least they were open. All the other antique stores in antique Mall’s in Clinton we’re closed even when the doors said they were open and their hours that they were open.
