- jonboy999Warrington, UK66 contributionsLovely clean beach, not blessed with golden sands but nice gentle sandy entry in to the sea when not at high tide so feels like safe swimming for kids. Like the fact that during high season the main beach has no dogs and people were respecting the rules. Cafes, chippy, ice cream all within a short walk.Written 18 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sarah P6 contributionsThe RNLI at Criccieth was a good place to visit for an hour, the volunteers there showed us around their rescue boat and explained to our kids the type of work they do. Thank you!Written 27 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Bill HAberdeen, UK99 contributionsThe west beach is less visited than the (main) east beach on the other side of the castle. It consists of dark sand and shingle and rocks but most importantly (as of 2023) dogs are allowed. The end of the beach by the castle is popular with sea fishermen.Written 24 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Barti Ddu2 contributionsIdeal for the teenagers whilst we drank in nearby Dylan’s. Good solid clip ins, well bolted route. Not too sure about disabled access, or prams, but maybe Cyngor Gwynedd could look at that? (I believe they paid for this attraction).
Would definitely use again on a high tide!Written 3 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jilly2903Llan Ffestiniog, UK1,960 contributionsMe and Hubby visited here on a recent Tuesday morning. It is located along the lane which runs from the main road and up the side of the Criccieth Memorial Hall - follow the small blue sign - passed the Family Church - up to the junction at the top right. There is a convenient bench outside. This medieval building is Grade 2 listed. Its history dates back to the 1300's. We were so pleased that the Church doors were open to the general public. There was a humorous welcome notice on the table.
I liked how the light shone through the colourful stained-glass windows. The contrast between with dark wood and white walls gave it some character. Whilst the interior was clean and tidy, the small graveyard outside was very overgrown and some of the ancient headstones were leaning over.Written 1 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Clean and functional and warm as we went in early spring last year. Going again soon.Written 14 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
