So much to see and do. I can't imagine trying to fit it all in during one visit but if you are up to the challenge, give it a try. This place is truly amazing. So many exhibits and a nice variety of subjects, dinosaurs, butterflies, Texas wildlife, gemstones from all over the world and so much more. We spent several hours in total amazement but still didn't see it all. The next time I'm in Houston, I will be visiting here again. It is well worth the money.

Space Geeks like me would love this place. It is a little outside of Houston and is about a 30min drive. But it is totally worth it. The Space Center itself has many nice exhibits but they also organize three tram tours to nearby NASA Johnson Space Center facilities. We chose the Historical Mission Control Tour, that had a separate fee and which took us to the Mission Control room from where the Apollo Missions were controlled. The restoration of the control room has been meticulously done and the film and experience is splendid. It has a very nice gift shop onsite as well as multiple snack shops onsite. If you arrive early enough you can also do the other two tram tours which are included in the price of the admission ticket.

From the architecture and design of the exhibits and placement of the pieces to the INCREDIBLE variety of art represented and how friendly the staff is, this is one of my favorite museums. They have a great gift shop, too and in the contemporary arts building a couple of cafes that looked great.

    LOVE IT!

We haven't been to a zoo for years. We were in Houston for a couple of days and spent over 4 hours at the zoo. Buying tickets on line was easy. Paper maps at the gate was helpful. Impressed with the size of the zoo. A large herd of elephants. Giraffes that you could buy food to feed. Such h a wide variety of animals. The zoo was very clean. Lots of picnic spots to enjoy your own food or purchase.

We came by to see this big sports park because it is famous and modern and is also located very close to downtown. A very poputal place to see a sports team compete.

Kids loved the children’s museum. Plenty of activities to do and spent the whole day there. We went in March from out of state and it was Spring break in Houston. So if you go in March watch out because it was super crowded and parking was a nightmare. Parking was all day for around $15 to $20.

A world-famous shopping mall, attracts shoppers and sight-seers from all over the world. Nice to see stores busy, nice to see so many people enjoying itself. And it is the anchor to the fanciest modern part of town, lots of tall apartment buildings.

One of the best 'offbeat' museums I have been to! Inexpensive, extensive, informative and respectful.

And the gift shop itself is worth a visit !

Both the singers and the band have astonishing ranges of talent. It is a mostly musical show with just the right amount of creative and hilarious commentary and introductions between numbers. An intimate setting makes everything even more unique and special. I will definitely be going back for their next show.

I grow milkweed in pots and raise monarch butterflies in my backyard and love to see the other species at the Butterfly Center.

World class museums can be found here, and there are several close together. If you have a lot of time and plan to visit more than one, you can park your car and walk among them. Together they form a very pretty part of town.

Let’s begin by saying I’ve visited the Holocaust Museum on several occasions with docent tours that continue to share the horrendous and abominable Jewish tragedy that aimed to decimate the Jews.

This museum also dedicates space to
showcase phenomenal historical events one of which is the Kinsey Collection a private African American Art and History Collection sponsored by Shell.

This beautiful family has spent decades acquiring one of a kind artifacts that leave you speechless. Slavery occurred and it was heinous and atrocious.

“The Doors of No Return” leave you motionless knowing many of whom who were torn from their countries and families never returned. The one of kind marriage license of African Americans in America before Jamestown was founded. The first African American politicians, civil rights activists, poets, were documented as well as unique art pieces and sculptures. It is a profoundly moving and inspiring exhibit to learn so much about the importance of African American.

Don’t miss this opportunity to see this collection.
