if you're in ilha bela make sure to visit this amazing beach. it's one of the most beautiful I have ever been to. the calmness, quietness and scenic view are the perfect combination for a great time. the beach is just the entrance to a tiny village, filled with hostels and tiny restaurants amongst private houses. the whole place is amazing and you get there by boat or via a trail (~15K). we were lucky enough to be there on a sunny and hot day. it was just perfect. we'll be back for sure!

A “must visit” place if you’re in Ilhabela. Forget your cellphone and enjoy a JOMO time relaxing on the beach with a cold caipirinha. There are also a good variety of finger foods in the small restaurants.

If you are on Ihlabela, do not miss this amazing little waterfall and its accompanying pools. Nestled in hills above the city, there is a parking lot, shop and staff to help you. While we brought our own bug spray, we really appreciated the amazing mosquito repellent station at the trailhead to help with insects, too. This is easily accessible for those who might be less mobile, and it is a beautiful, fun experience complete with some natural rock slides, refreshing pools, gorgeous scenery and cool little waterfalls. Very glad we went!

Family friendly with good restaurants. Be careful of mosquitos though. You must use a repellent heavily.

The sea was very calm on the day we went. It's a very nice beach in the South coast of Ilhabela. There are some kiosk, but the best one is at the end of the beach, Restaurante Julião. There is a charge to use their facilities, but it is deductible from the total bill.

Nice surroundings and friendly people at this public beach - parking is limited but we'll worth the walk

We took a cooler, some beers, one speaker and made it a great time.

There is some tables and chairs so you can also do a picnic.

This is a great beach, but you need to bring your own chairs/umbrella/etc. and the access/parking is rather limited so you will likely have a fairly long walk if you are hauling stuff (coolers/chairs/umbrellas). We have a house that is just a few hundred meters from this place (as well as Praia Juliao, which is even a nice beacher) but we usually end-up going to Praia Grande because of the support services.

This was a unique stop on our tour of Ilhabela here at Sino Beach. The real attraction here are the bell ringing rocks that are found here. I have never seen this phenomena of lithophonic rocks, or ringing bell rocks before. Worth seeing for yourself.

BOTTOM LINE: This was a city tour stop for us and it was pretty cool. When you hit the large rocks with a small hand sized rock at the end of the walkway it sounds like the ringing of a bell. Each large bolder sounds different. The beach here is very nice with calm waters. Vendors offer umbrellas, chairs and tables to rent. The water is perfect for families with kids. There is also a nice restaurant located here also. MY RATING: 8/10

Worth a look if you are in the area but nothing to write home about, they have a manmade feel about them, which is probably not true! Wouldn’t call them spectacular but at least entrance is free

rented a little fisherman boat, which was pure adventure from a nearby beach called Jabacoara. We were the only couple to arrive at 10 am. We felt like castaways! Soon our sense of being completely away from everything disappear: about 15 yachts were stopped in front of the beach an hour later. Good moments don't last forever.

Just keep going. It’s classic. Would recommend. 10/10. Get amongst it.
You’ll say, thanks Christian and James for this recommendation.
    We’ll say, no problem.
