What travellers are saying
- Steve RLondon, UK39 contributionsWonderful beach, then we had a lovely dinner with a sea view and drinks at a great pub, The 39 Steps just round the corner. Picture was very early, beach did get full later in the dayWritten 24 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The first time was yesterday whilst walking back from Margate and we paid another visit this morning for a pre-Sunday Lunch. Well worth a visit but the tide was out this morning revealing a number of rocky/stoney areas!Written 28 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is a lot to see and absorb.

- Dee SAylesford, UK470 contributionsLovely sandy beach . Safe for swim . Quite a bit if seaweed . Walked from here to Ramsgate . Easy walk along the cliff coastal path . There is a cafe at Dumpton Gap, free parking and free toilets. Glad we decided to visit this place today .Written 23 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Karen Cchessington25 contributionsThis is an 'old school' museum filled with model railways and other travel bit and bobs. If you like your entertainment low tech (I do) then this is the place to be. The detail in the miniature railways is incredible. Myself and friend got there quite late in the day and the lovely staff were happy to switch on all the tracks for us and to give us information on anything we wanted. There are quite a few steps around the place (especially the tower) so you need to be able bodied to access most of it. The acoustics in the 'bee hive' were very strange and myself and my friend managed to spend quite a lot of time in there messing about making silly noises and singing. If you stand in the centre and sing upwards it's particularly odd.
It's very cheap to get in and worth the money (and the stroll up the high street to get to it)Written 5 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I am 36 and as my family come from there (and grandparents lived there until a couple of years ago) we visit regularly. We were there again this week and opted to sit at the quieter Louisa Bay, as the other beaches are much busier with tourists. It is beautiful and the kiosk fairly priced, but beware, seaweed is in abundance in Broadstairs in summer and it can be quite unpleasant!Written 9 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alexandra GBirchington, UK494 contributionsThis is a very beautiful old church with stunning ceiling paintings, glistening stained glass windows and a huge cemetery with many interesting old grave monuments. There is a free car park opposite for ease of parking. Recommend timing your visit during May to September for the Village Tour.Written 12 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hatfield_visitorBorehamwood, UK391 contributionsAnother great show by Merry Opera. They really bring shows to life and present with energy and humour. Theatre is small but provides an intimate space for this kind of production. Singers/actors excellent.... as were the Pianist and violinist. Staff/volunteers who run the theatre and helpful and friendly. Parking available in local streets and a car park just a few minutes away.Written 11 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - sheepygoldlondon5,598 contributionsWe wandered along the road and gardens which are very pleasant. We had an ice cream and took the lift down to the beach. The main toilets are closed at the moment.Written 30 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sam JLondon, UK31 contributionsThe photos in the gallery of both Kent and the USA are amazing.
They are printed on just the right materials.
The overall effect is of works of art.
The wedding and other photos from here must be so impressive.
