What a lovely gem in the heart of Salt Rock. With so many activities and educational opportunities for all ages, you can spend the day there. The little ones will be entertained to their hearts delight.

Great waves to watch lay in, near the lifeguards, and a huge tidal pool for safer swimming. Parking and toilets and a cafe. Fairly busy with families. Nice place.

Very beautiful spot. Not too overcrowded in the beginning of April. Fantastic spot to watch & observe the sea nature. Many different kinds of fish & corralls. Really enjoyed it there.

TIP: bring good goggles and a snorkle. It is breathtaking taking what you see below surface.

We visited recently while in Ballito as several friends recommended a visit to the Litchi Orchard. It sounds like, from reading their website and earlier reviews, that it was a wonderful place for gatherings, markets, etc. COVID has really taken a toll on so many venues and it seems like Litchi Orchard is no exception. I don't believe they are currently holding any markets. There are a handful of interesting shops still operating there but they all seemed to close at 4pm, soon after we started to browse. I found a few things I liked at one shop but quickly learned that the people there didn't actually work there and could only assist me if I had cash to make the payment. I imagine business is really slow to the point where it just doesn't seem worthwhile for some vendors. We had lunch at the Shed restaurant and it appeared that there was a second restaurant/cafe in operation there. Both close early, at or before 4pm. We had burgers and pizza at the Shed both were good with the exception of the falafel burger which was bland. The fried Halloumi was good as were the craft gin and tonics. The menu is relatively limited. In short, this would be a fun visit when the litchis are in season or when there is a bit more going on. Here's hoping for better days ahead.

My son 16 and his Godfather went on this charter, they were very few of the many we contacted that actually came back to us, so their coms are good, If you not bothered about the frills and just want to catch a fish this is where you can book your next trip. They each came home with a huge Dolrado, Dinner was delicious.
