Best time to go to avoid the crowds?? Early morning before what time? Please and thank you
We went on the weekend, and got there at 10:00. The crowds are the best part. couples dress up in traditional clothing and it looks great. The bamboo forest is a real let down, I didnt think it was as good are many other forests around the area
We went after 3pm and the road was not crowded. There were people about, but not too many. However, the people watching is interesting, especially those who wear traditional kimonos.
Go as early as possible. By 9 or even 8 in the morning it will be very busy
It depends on the season and usually after 9 or 10, the place will be crowded with tourists.
I was there about 2pm (after lunch in the restaurant nearby) and there were quite a no. of visitors but still ok to roam freely around. We were on a day tour there and had no control of the visit timing. But it was still fine for us to move around as we had been allocated sufficient time in the area (also managed to do some souvenir shopping).
Do ejoy your trip there!
I got there late afternoon around 2pm and it was too busy, completely crowded but also didn't help that it was a weekend. Once 4pm came around though people had cleared and we got photos with hardly anyone in them, however the lighting wasn't great by then and getting rather cold. Cheers
Early in the morning will be better
We toured around 11am so crowds had really built up. Suspect if you arrive earlier there will be less but can’t guarantee. It’s not a major issue and does add to atmosphere.
