Request a room furthest from elevator to avoid foot traffic past your door. We were in a preferred swimout and had no noise issues whatsoever.

We were on the 9th floor and if you close the balcony doors it was actually pretty quiet even if there is a party going on. All rooms do face the pool/ocean which is one reason we choose this place! We LOVED it!

I'm not sure I can answer that question.

All the rooms faced the swimming pool area of the hotel. I don't remember any that faced away from the swimming pool area. And even if they did, I don't know if they would be quieter than those facing the pool, as they would possibly get city noise.

I do know that you could hear the gentle crashing of the waves all night, especially if you left the balcony door open (as we did) so you could hear the waves. If the door was closed, you'd have to be a very light sleeper to hear the waves.

The activity in the pool area didn't get started early in the morning. It seemed to always be 10 or 10:30 AM when people started showing up in significant numbers, and the noise level increased a bit.

We were on the 3rd floor. I don't know if higher floors had quieter rooms than we had. We were also closer to the ocean than to the lobby area of the hotel. Those rooms maybe quieter, due to the distance from all the other rooms in the hotel, but I'm just guessing about that.
