Birmingham, United Kingdom

Hi

I eat fish but am vegetarian and dont drink alcohol.

Was just wondering if you fry your fish that you serve with chips in beer batter or beef dripping?

Thanks

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Not sure in what manner they fry their fish. I can only tell you that it was good!

So, you're a pescatarian? :-) I'd be very surprised if the restaurant used anything other than cooking oil, but it's really best to ask them directly via email.

I don't know as I always order my fish either broiled or baked as I don't eat the batter.

I come from the UK but now live in Canada. The batter isn't a beer batter and it certainly isn't cooked in beef dripping. Most likely canola oil. I don't know anywhere (unfortunately) outside of the UK where beef dripping is used to fry fish.
