You would have two options if you have luggage with you. One is a taxi which would cost approximately $40 and take roughly 30 minutes to get there. The other option would be with a company called Vancouver Shuttle. They charge $15 per person and pick up at a number of Richmond hotel locations. You can pay and book directly on their website.

Easiest would be a taxi, $40. Skytrain to downtown from the airport is $5 per person or $4 from another station. If there are 4 of you, that’s $16/20 already plus you would have to get the hotel shuttle to skytrain and dragging your luggage around. Go for the taxi.

I think the least expensive option would be the skytrain to downtown Vancouver, if you are able bodied that is. Also, if you check with the hotel their shuttle might be able to drop you off near a sky train station. Another option would be to take the hotel shuttle

back to the ariport and take the Canada line to downtown Vancouver.

Sometimes the least hassle is a taxi even though it costs more. The hotel might be able to suggest another option. I would think the Vancouver hotels would be pricey at this time of year but most would pick you up at the airport and save you the hassle of getting downtown from the airport.

The Holiday Inn is close to the airport about a $40 taxi ride from downtown and the cruise ship terminal. Downtown hotels are expensive. If you are flying in, your choice, stay at the Holiday Inn and pay for transportation downtown. Or pay the same for transportation downtown and stay near the cruise ship terminal.

Check with the hotel for cheaper transportation to downtown. The Holiday Inn has a free shuttle to the airport/. Check if your cruise ship company provides transportation from the hotels.

This hotel is about 5-10 minutes by taxi from the nearest SkyTrain station in Richmond, call it $10-15. The SkyTrain will take you straight to downtown Vancouver (Waterfront SkyTrain Station) in about 20-22 minutes. The Waterfront SkyTrain Station is very close to the cruise ship terminal. If you are able-bodied and your luggage is light or has wheels, you can walk; otherwise, it's a short taxi ride. Details about SkyTrain fares, etc., can be found through TransLink's web site.

The cruise terminal is much closer to downtown Vancouver than the Richmond location of this hotel. I believe a taxi would be relatively expensive. That said, downtown Vancouver hotels are pricey so the cab ride plus this hotel may still be a bargain.
