Hi, i have booked the printworks mid week very soon and it says it is 59 pound per room, which i thought is great. But in small writing i have seen it says a fixed amount is charged of 200 pound? Did anyone else get an extra charge when they got here or was it just 59 pound and that it, or a deposit you got back?
Any advice would be appreciated please as otherwise if charged extra i'd rather book somewhere else for that price!
Cheers :) Lauren
It is Hotel policy that a pre-authorization of £200 is held on the guests credit/debit card at least 2 days prior to arrival .
This is a security deposit and the amount does not leave the guests account.
They basically just ask for credit card details so that if there is any damage to the rooms they cant take payment of £200. Provided there is no damage they wont charge you it, its just a deposit
Our family stayed there. We were not charged any extra. Pre-authorization means that if nothing happens to the property, no money will be deducted from your credit card. The guy in charge was very nice. Should have no problem. Enjoy your stay.
It is just a returnable deposit; however, we were not charged it.
No deposit was ever mentioned/requested when we stayed here last November.
Hi! When I booked to stay here, I also paid around £60 and when I got there the guy at the desk said that he would not require a deposit as 'we looked like nice people'... I have had friends stay here and have never heard of a deposit being required - perhaps if they do try to charge extra challenge this on the basis that deposits have not been required for previous guests?
