The exec lounge is exclusive for those guests staying in the Chambers rooms.

You quite rightly identify that as a Marriott Gold member you are entitled to exec lounge access, yet St Pancras Ren doesn't allow this as it calls it's lounge "The Chambers Club". This is because it's available for all residents of the part of the building known as "The Chambers" which includes 20/30 privately owned apartments in addition to St Pancras guests staying in the Chambers rooms.

Thus the St Pancras Ren argues it needn't allow free access to Marriott Reward elites, but has decided to do so for Plats. Alas not for Golds and as there's no other lounge the hotel offers free breakfast in the restaurant and I think a free drink voucher.

So, no, as a Gold there's no access to an Exec lounge at the St Pancras Ren unless you're staying in a chambers room/suite. The last time I stayed I was offered a Chambers suite upgrade (from the standard Barlow room) for £100/night extra. Even though I'm a Plat and therefore already had lounge access I still took it and was so pleased I did, the beautiful suite overlooked the station concourse and was well worth the upgrade. As a gold if you do this you'll gain lounge access too!

As a matter of interest all other London Marriotts (inc Heathrow) offer Golds exec lounge access including the JW Grosvenor, Marble Arch, County Hall, Grosvenor Sq, Park Lane and a little further out the Knightsbridge and West India Quay. The JW lounge offerings are particularly strong as are County Hall. In my experience however the best lounge in Europe is the St Pancras Ren. And as a Plat I do choose it whenever my expense budget allows...

As far as I'm aware the exec lounge is for anyone staying in the Chambers rooms or the other suites. If possible stay in the old section it's amazing, worth upgrading to access lounge.Hope this answers your question.
