Is it crowded in mid September? Should I buy skip the line tickets if it's crowded or shall I go buy there?
If you arrive early I think it would not be as crowded as later in the day. September should be a quieter month than say Easter time or december
St Peters Basilica is free so you just have to turn up and queue. I’m sure Rome will be crowded in September it is most of the year and I would certainly advise getting skip the line tickets for any other attractions you may want to visit...
I never been there at that time of the year, but skip the lines is definitely a good option
Early morning be first in line, but it's always busy , I would buy a skip the line ticket also for the colasem as the ques are extremely long. September the weather will be hot? So get skip the ques as much as possible.
