Is this place suitable for children? (4 - 8 years old)
Yes, definitely. We had our 11 y.o daughter with us and children are very welcome there I would say.
Absolutely. It's lovely.
Not really, the children may enjoy the climb and the views but there's not much for children here.
OH - SO SORRY - WRONG GARDEN! Please regard my previous post. This is a lovely, fun garden with lots of interesting things to see. Having said that, the four year old might have a little difficulty accessing the upper levels which are reached my stone steps and are a little tricky, but there is a great deal to see that would be fun and entertaining for them and, yes, there is a maze.
I think so, yes, but you should be aware that the visit is conducted on a guided tour as opposed to visiting a park or public garden and wandering about. If your kiddies would be comfortable in that context, then yes, of course. It's a beautiful property and we enjoyed our visit immensely. It might be less interesting for younger children. When you email to inquire about admission, you might want to inquire. The owner is a lovely, gracious man and I'm sure he could give you a helpful response.
I would think so. I am sure they would enjoy exploring the upper levels of the garden accessed through the belvedere. The views over the city should capture their imagination and if a warm day then there should be lizards on the walls for added interest. I may be wrong but I think one of the parterres is a Small maze...
