Lefka Apartments Questions & Answers

Ivybridge, United Kingdom

How easy is it to get to beaches from here, using pubic transport? How quiet is the hotel? We have 2 teenagers and wondered if they'd be bored. Thanks

We've visited Lefka eight times , and returning again this year. We visited a number of times with our daughters when they were in their mid teens and they loved the place. Commonly they'd get to know others staying at the apartments and also enjoyed the ambience/company at Lefka in the evening...the owners are wonderful hosts and it's a relaxed, fun atmosphere. We tend to alternate between catching the bus to Chania / staying at Lefka each evening. Daytime you may wish to stroll to Lefka along the beach...takes around 20/30 minutes.

You have a beach within walking distance with very nice new cafe bar and facilities.

You can also head away from the town by public bus to great beaches further down the coast. The bus stops right at the Lefka Apartments and you can buy tickets on the bus too.

Also a very nice pool at Lefka itself and great bar/restaurant too.

You can easily get into Chania itself to keep teenagers busy with the bus or taxi, it's not far. There are also day trips that will collect you that the lovely people at Lefka will organise if you want to venture further afield. These include trips to outstanding beaches with boat trips. Hope that helps.

only 5-10 mins by bus, with a bus stop directly outside the apartments.

The beach across the road is about 300m away 5-10min stroll fairly flat.

The road is quite busy and you do get some noise when sitting by the pool occasionally if loud motorbike or car.

Bus stops right outside if you want other beaches or to go into Chania (which is a typical busy city with busy bits and quiet bits!!!)

We thought the local beach was by far the best as not too busy but if you want boats and activities plenty further down the coast.

Hope this helps

Regards

Geoff

Im going back for 4th time with my 18 and 14 yr old they love it ! beach across the road is lovely with bar and cafe, you can also get a bus to the next resort along which has watersports..only about 10 mins away and the stop is across the road. We alternate our evenings too with staying at Lefka and going out in the town. Lefka has a lovely sociable atmosphere so I think your teenagers will enjoy it too.

This is not a hotel but self catering apartments, you can walk to some nice beaches but you have to cross a busy road. hotel is quiet with a lovely pool, depends on what your kids like but no entertainment put on for them.
