Thank you for your reply, what I mean is, it is very expensive for a main course at €20, Hake @ €16.95 +€3.95 for Veg. That is outragous.
On our visit you displayed a different Menu at the entrance, it stated Bar Food served, What I see is a Bar with tables where is the seafood connection. Since you opened the Poachers you have been gifted with having your road designated “The wild Atlantic Way”. Keeping the business open 7 days a week is hard work , but it does not give you a right to rip off visitors just because they found “the wild atlantice way”, if you want responses on the day, you are going to have to establish a better relationship with customers.
Charging extra for vegetables with a main course for Lunch is totally unacceptable, especillay when the Irish Government introduced a VAT rate to assist tourism,This Pub advertises "Taste the Wild Atlantic way". it is enticing to get tourists in the Pub. Irish Tourism designated the road outside the Pub, "The Wild Atlantic Way, I have listened to enough first time European visitors complain about how expensive there Irish Holiday was !!
I had lunch and thought that it was good value for what I got. My husband had hake and chowder for 24 euro and I had 3 courses for 29 euro. The portions were great and the food was delicious
I agree in fact I called recently and was a bit disappointed with what I got. They need to review their prices, well put.
I have always enjoyed my visits to the Poacher's - excellent service, great food and never felt that I was ripped off.
Like other responses not sure what you're on about. I expected the restaurant to be more expensive than it was. The food was delicious the staff were excellent, no issues at all.
We had a wonderful meal at Poachers, service was attentive and seafood was fresh and nicely prepared. it was a higher priced meal but definitely worth it. I don't know if there is an alternate bar food menu, so I cannot comment further. Kate
