We flew in to the Samana intnl airport - so can't speak to how it might work from the Santo Damingo airport - Our experience was very good - very well preplanned reorganised shuttle - they were very organized in directing us to the correct shuttle - they booked us into our room while we were on the shuttle - the shuttle was air-conditioned, not overcrowded, clean and comfortable to ride in - it took about 45 min on reasonably well maintained roads - the scenery was spectacular - no problems with our luggage getting it on and off the bus and being available immediately once we arrived at the hotel - I had heard that getting to this hotel from other airports is a considerably longer/tiring journey over some rough roads. - so if you had the option to fly into the Samana airport I would recommend that option and the shuttle service it has

We travelled from Puerto Plata airport after flying with Thomson from the UK, and as it is over 3 hours to the hotel we paid for a private taxi in advance in order to enjoy the journey in comfort.

Don't think the hotel provides a courtesy bus from the Santo Domingo airport, as usually this has to be arranged through your travel agent, but you could email the hotel to enquire.

Hope this has been a helpful reply.Alan.
