Hi all just wanted some assistance. How long does your go for? We only have one day and 2 nights in England and trying to determine if best off to sight see or come here :)
I agree with Travelrules14 above. It is worth seeing and if you have stamina then do try a later slot. As it's a short visit and there's so much to see I imagine you will be sticking to tight ctriteria. Also factor in travelling to HP from London which will shorten sightseeing time. You can't do it all! If you want general flavour then catch sightseeing bus tour around London, ride boat on Thames - that's one day! Maybe something specific next day coupled with journey to HP. Ask yourself .... how big a fan are you?
The restaurant is way over priced but the food is good.
On a whole its a fantastic day out.
We went in the car so don't know about the trains etc.
If you are really in to Harry Potter then you could spend nearly a whole day here.
The photo's are a rip off stay clear.
The Tour is amazing and is worth seeing. I would check ticket availability in advance. Entrance is by timed ticket. You have to get to Watford then get the HP bus from outside the train station. Hope you enjoy it if you decide to go.
for only two day break in London I would sight see - I only live an hour away from central London and at 60 years old I still love visiting London and looking around - so much to see, hopefully weather will be good for you - Harry Potter is brilliant but you will be indoors and not see much else.
If you are a mega-fan, then maybe you would do that. It's a cool place. But it's hard for me to imagine going to London and only seeing HP. That being said, HP is open later in the evening.
If you could get a 5 o clock ticket, you could do some sightseeing during the day and then take an über to leavesden.
You'd be doing this tour for the best part of a day. If you got in at earliest time (bearing in mind the tour is outside Watford, so half hour plus out of London).. I'd say this tour would not outweigh London sightseeing if you had never seen London before. You'll be hard pushed to do much more after visiting the studios, as I was there for 6 hours, and I'm fortunate to drive there from 15 minutes away.
