We will be in Prague for the Christmas Markets & this hotel sounds delightful. I'm sure we are not going to walk back up a hill late at night after being out all day. Are taxis available in Old Town or are there buses available?
thank you very much for your interest in Hotel Questenberk.
The nearest tram stop Pohořelec is just over the Pohořelec Square which is in front of the hotel. Tram number 22 is running daily until midnight and frequency is usually maximum 10 minutes. After midnight we would advise you to go by a taxi which are available all over the city.
We will be delighted to give you introduction to Prague at your arrival or after you relax a bit after your journey. We sit down with you and have a complimentary welcome drink together and help you with all matters you would be interested in. We will also explain to you how the public transportation runs in Prague as well we will give you closer tips for taxi services and their approximate prices for the main distances.
In case of any questions please feel free to write us directly at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope you will enjoy your time in Prague.
With Warm Regards,
Hotel Questenberk Team
The public transportation system in Prague is terrific! The #22 is, indeed the tram that takes you to within one block of the hotel. When you check in, the staff will go over all that sort of information and options available. You will love your stay at the Questenberk! We hated to leave! Enjoy your trip!
Yes it is the number 22 tram up the hill and ample taxis. Check with the hotel for prices of taxis and best place to get the tram.
Tram #22 is very useful , from town get off two stops after Prague Castle (Pratzky Hrad). Your stop is called Pohorelec. From there it is only a short walk to hotel, and it's downhill!
Public transportation is very effective in Prague, trams and metros are easy to use and with three day ticket(310 kn) you can ride all you want.
If you like beer, try the U Cerneho Vola in Loretanska. Best beer in Prague?
Taxis have a bad reputation, use the AAA company , their taxis are the most honest.
Have a nice time!
As other responders have already mentioned, you can catch a tram (I think Margaret is correct that it is route #22) from the lower town. I usually caught it on the north side of the Charles Bridge. The tram follows a "U" route up the hill passing by the castle and will let you off just a short walk from the hotel. Or, you can always take a taxi. Most times, we climbed the hill...which isn't so bad. I'm sure you will have wonderful time in Prague. Take care
We took taxis and I believe they are available whenever you need them.
There is a trolly (I believe #22, but you can ask the hotel to confirm) that takes you from down by the river up the hill to right outside the hotel. When you check in, they will give you the complete run-down. Also, if you choose not to go that route, there are cabs. Hope this helps!
