Coming away with my boyfriend in november for a weeekend. Is this a good place to stay for sight seeing and getting around? Thanks
It is about 7-9 minutes walk from centre. It is in Jewish quarter, safe though, a bit away from St. Stephen's. Would have chosen somewhere nearer centre but not too far. We did not use any buses but walked as you find a shortcut. Do not buy bus/metro tickets from hotel as more expensive & see if you qualify for free tickets/reductions. Ticket selling booths told us about these opportunities. Budapest is immense so needs time & take layers as wind from river can be biting
We had a fabulous time. Hotel lovely, good breakfast - ours was in with the room deal. 2 minute walk to the Big Bus pick up. We used this to check out the city then went around quite a lot on foot. You get a night cruise on the river in with the big bus ticket which was cold but good! We would stay here again because we didn't see every thing we wanted. Hope you enjoy your holiday - we certainly did!
